Jay Z's Rocawear SUED! No Love Over "Hood Love" Shirts!

Filed under: Fashion SmashionLegal MattersJay Z

Jay Z's apparel company being sued for using the phrase

Rocawear just can’t catch a break!

After struggling financially and owing wholesale company iSource NYC massive amounts of money, Jay Z’s clothing line is now being sued for using the phrase "Hood Love" on one of their shirts (above).

A company called HoodLove, LLC filed a lawsuit against ROC Apparel Group in early August claiming they’ve owned the trademark for HoodLove since 2006.

The for-profit company is dedicated to the recovery of poverty-stricken communities, and believe Hova's shirt is confusing the public and compromising their good name.

HoodLove's suing for all profits made off the shirt and wants the design to be removed from stores.

Seth Rogen & Paul Rudd Ham It Up For Samsung Super Bowl Ad!

Filed under: Silly!Business BlitzSeth RogenPaul RuddSuper Bowl

We are SO GLAD that Samsung is calling the Super Bowl out for being stupid about people saying its name in advertising (it's trademarked, along with the team names!). While it's super easy to get around it, we think it's the fact that everyone already knows what you're talking about when you say the 'Big Game.' In essence, they're saying it anyway!! LOLz!

So who are they actually stopping?? Nobody!

That's EXACTLY the thought process behind Samsung's new HIGHlarious ad, starring Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd — which acts as a teaser for whatever they have planned for the 'Big Game'!

LOLz! Check it out (above)!!

Lindsay Lohan Sues Her Own Leggings Line Over Marilyn Monroe's Birthday???

lindsay lohan suing 6126 legging collection marilyn monroe birthday(1)

UPDATE: Sources tell us Lindsay is NOT suing 6126 Collection or Kristi Kaylor - they're both suing the licensee D.N.A.M. Apparel Industries for breach of contract, fraud and trademark infringement aka the 6126 name.

———–

Lindsay Lohan just loooooOOOoooves going to court, doesn't she?

In a new case where she's actually the plaintiff rather than the defendant, LiLo is suing the 6126 Collection, the company she "designed" expensive leggings for, over claims that she owns the "6126" trademark.

The numbers stand for 06-01-1926, the day Marilyn Monroe was born, which Lindsay has always said she felt a close connection to.

She launched the collection back in 2008 with her business partner Kristi Kaylor, but due to Lindsay's busy filming schedule it's been inactive since 2010.

One of Lohan's lawyers is expected to officially file the $1.1 million lawsuit in a federal court today.

Oh goody, another court case for Lindsay. It must be Thursday.

And just for the hell of it…check of pics of modeling her leggings (below)!

We’re not sure this will hold up in court.

The Kardashian's new beauty line, Khroma Beauty, has been under fire for their name by an El Lay business owner.

The Navy Trademarked What?!

camoflauge-trademarked-by-navy.jpg

This is inneresting!

The U.S. Navy finally got a trademark on camouflage! The design is the pixelated black, gray and navy blue camo pattern, but the green is still okay!

Originally, the trademark was revoked because it was seen as functional and ornamental, but the Navy proved that they actually use the print to help distinguish themselves.

Since the trademark is so specific
