Jennifer Lopez Talks About Bringing Boston Bombing Story To The Big Screen

Filed under: Film FlickersJennifer LopezSad Sad

Jennifer Lopez is no stranger to being involved in movies dealing with a sensitive subject matter; she played Selena two years after the pop star's tragic murder…

But is the singer/actress interested in producing a potential FILM about the horrific recent atrocities committed in Boston?!

Ch-ch-check out what Jenny from the Block has to say about the idea of portraying the Boston bombings in movie format (above)!

And even though it's obviously way TOO SOON for a Hollywood flick about the insanity that went down in Boston over the past week, perhaps there will be an appropriate time for such an endeavor…

You know, as long as whomever helms the project isn't a completely tactless dingbat.

Texas Fertilizer Plant Explosion Leads To Twelve Confirmed Deaths; Bodies Recovered From Site

texas fertilizer plant casualties

This week has just been horrifying, what with the Boston bombings and the Texas fertilizer plant explosion.

It was announced today that twelve bodies have been recovered from the West, Texas blast site. Sgt. Jason Reyes said that while 200 people have been injured and 50 homes destroyed, the terrible incident is “still being treated as a crime scene.”

While the reason behind the fertilizer plant’s fire and subsequent explosion on Wednesday is still unknown, so is the exact amount of damage done. And though many are still unaccounted for, we do know that five West firefighters, one Dallas firefighter, and four emergency responders were killed.

So sad. Our thoughts are with all in West, Texas.

Update On Texas Fertilizer Plant Explosion: Video Footage & What We Now Know!

The tragedy in Texas is hardly over and as authorities try to get everything under control, we are getting new information.

After the town of West was hit by a fertilizer plant explosion, miles of property ended up damaged and many people were injured while some are believed to be dead.

It is now being reported that over 160 people suffered injuries in the explosion that started when the plant caught on fire most likely due to industrial reasons although it's still under investigation.

You can see the explosion on the video (above). Warning: it may be difficult to watch.

As of now, it is believed between 5 and 15 people have died although that number could rise after people in the town are accounted for. Some of those who were possibly killed in the accident include five firefighters who went missing during the tragedy.

Waco police Sgt. William Patrick Swanton commented on the current state of the operation:

Yankees Play Sweet Caroline In Honor Of Boston, We Got Chills!

The rivalry between NYC and Boston has always been fierce, and it's been around forever.

The best part about it, though, is that it doesn't mean anything at all in times of need! In fact, we begin to realize that the rivalry is more like that between siblings, not between enemies!

To highlight that, the Yankees have done something incredible — last night at their game they played Sweet Caroline in honor of their rivals in Boston to show them that they have the support and everything they could ever need from NY in a time of crisis.

Honestly, when we watched the video (above) and see all the Yankees fans singing along, we got chills!

Tragedies are awful and will always be awful, but we are always in the end inspired by the response of humanity!

For more information on the whole ordeal, HERE's what we know — and please donate blood. Donate time. Donate money.

Boston needs everyone!

Boston Marathon Tragedy: Mark Wahlberg Wanted To Rush Home To His Kids

Filed under: Sad SadJimmy KimmelMark WahlbergScary!

Mark Wahlberg is one of the most famous of celebrities to come from Boston, so any reporter or host wouldn't be doing their job right if they didn't ask him how he felt about Monday's tragic and horrifying bombing.

He was on Jimmy Kimmel (above) promoting his new movie Pain & Gain, and here's what he said:
