patrick dempsey invites do something awards winner to set of greys anatomy

Patrick Dempsey was recently on hand for the Do Something Awards, where he was honored for founding the Center for Hope and Healing back in 2008!

While he was there, he got a chance to meet some VERY inspirational youngsters, and decided to give them a little treat by inviting all of the nominees to the set of Grey's Anatomy to hang out!

Dr. Shepherd got a chance to show off his medical skills as he spent some time with Daniel Maree who was awarded with a $100,000 grant for Million Hoodies Movement for Justice, and organization he found to raise awareness about Trayvon Martin's murder!

From the looks of it, the two had a pretty awesome time!

Way to go, McDreamy!!!

Barack Obama Speaks Out Again On George Zimmerman Verdict: 'Trayvon Martin Could Have Been Me'

Ever since the controversial verdict in the George Zimmerman case, people have been speculating on how President Barack Obama felt on the matter.

In his first public speech since the Not Guilty came in, the POTUS made himself perfectly clear. He not only feels for Trayvon Martin's family- he sympathizes with the victim himself. He said:

"Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago.

There are very few African-American men in this country who haven’t had the experience of being followed while they were shopping at a department store. That includes me."

Wow. Barack went on address the "disparities" in how the law looks at race and to say that as a country we all need to do some "soul-searching" to make sure we're not being biased in how we think and act.

Ch-ch-check out the video (above) to hear his complete insightful speech!
