It's that time of the year again, and we're NOT talking about Mother's Day.

While we certainly love our mothers and will look forward to celebrating with them over the weekend, TODAY our holiday of choice is Star Wars Day!

Clearly we're not alone, because if you look at the trending topics on Twitter, you'll notice they're completely dominated by the space saga.

Guess it makes sense that people would make this connection…

Following the announcement about Osama Bin Laden's death last night, 24's Jack Bauer became a trending topic on Twitter.

Seems like people were intrigued by the concept that somebody like Jack Bauer could have helped to provide the intelligence that led to Osama's death.

Last we heard, the 24 movie will be coming out next year, so we're thinking we may see Jack Bauer trending a whole lot more on Twitter in the near future.

The biggest TV event of the year isn’t as big as Britney… at least on twitter!

Britney Spears trended on twitter for seven days after she announced the name of her new studio album, Fremme Fatale, beating out the Super Bowl (in terms of popularity on twitter).

Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Egypt made up most of the rest of the list.

This just proves it: Britney’s new album is going to blow up!
