South Park Creators' Musical Is Coming…This Thursday!

south park creators mormon musical previews begin this thursday

Broadway is about to get controversial AND HIGHlarious!

Back in September, we were excited to hear that South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone's religious satire The Book of Mormon was scheduled to premiere on Broadway on March 24.

Now, we're SO excited to announce that previews for the musical about "a pair of teenage Mormon missionaries sent to Uganda, where they confront war, famine and AIDS" will start THIS THURSDAY!

Oddly enough, Matt stone says the musical is pro-faith:

"…I mean, (Mormon) is a pro-faith musical. People may say, 'What?!' But that's what it's meant to be."

More from Stone:

"We can have a lot of fun at the Mormons' expense, because there's stuff in their religion that may seem silly to outsiders. But these are really nice people who believe what they do wholeheartedly. And that leads us to ask, well, what do you believe in, and what's goofy about that?"

Here's a statement that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints issued with regards to the play:

"The production may attempt to entertain audiences for an evening [but that Mormon scripture] will change people's lives forever."

And here's what Stone had to say in response:

"Those guys just kill us with kindness every time. Their response to our South Park episode (on Smith) was basically the same: 'Look, you're free to do what you want.' It's so big-hearted and fundamentally American."

Ha! Now we're REALLY intrigued by this musical…especially after Matt Stone said it's a "pro-faith musical." Inneresting way to describe a Mormon-themed play by the South Park guys…

Are U excited for this play? Do U think it will, in fact, be "pro-faith?"

South Park Creators Sued AGAIN For Stealing

Sheesh! This is becoming a bad habit.

First, South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker were forced to apologize for copying a spoof of the movie Inception from the CollegeHumor website and now they're being sued for ripping off the viral YouTube phenomenon What What (In the Butt).

Producers of the video, Brownmark Films filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Viacom, claiming that the breach was "willful, intentional, and purposeful, in disregard of an indifferent to the rights of Brownmark." The company is seeking a permanent injunction and maximum statutory damages.

The segment is very similar to Samwell's video, but we still think it's just a parody and could be deemed "fair use."

What do U think? Did Matt and Trey use artistic expression or was it copyright infringement?

South Park Creators Apologize For Copying Inception Parody

Oops!

South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are not only admitting to copying the Inception parody from the College Humor website, but they're also apologizing for it.

Co-creator Matt said that they had a short turnaround and they were unable to find a copy of the movie before the episode's deadline. He added:

"It’s just because we do the show in six days, and we’re stupid and we just threw it together. But in the end, there are some lines that we had to call and apologize for. We thought their joke was that a lot of those lines were actually in the movie and they were banging them against each other, and showing that the Inception characters didn’t even know Inception. That was a mistake, and it was an honest mistake."

At least they're owning up to it. Who cares, right?? It was still a funny episode.

islamic extremist who threatened south park creators pleads guilty

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone must be relieved!

Islamic extremist Zachary Chesser, otherwise known as Abu Talha al-Amrikee, has pleaded guilty to the following counts:

-communicating threats

-soliciting others to threaten violence

-material support to Somali Islamic militant organization Al-Shabab.

Chesser has created several websites where he's called for violence against Americans.

Most notably, he's called for violence against the South Park creators, as a response to the 200th episode of their cartoon, where they made perceived slights against Islam.

Islamic Fundamentalist Arrested After Threatening South Park Creators!

We're glad he was caught - this young man is clearly not well.

Zachary Chesser, the Islamic fundamentalist who threatened South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone after an episode of the cartoon aired that poked fun at the prophet Muhammad, has been arrested by the FBI for providing material to a terrorist group linked to al-Qaeda!

The 20 year old college drop-out was reportedly so upset with the aforementioned episode that he posted a message on a radical Islamic website, threatening that the creators would end up like a Dutch filmmaker who was killed for presenting the faith in a fashion that they considered to be negative!

He then was caught when he attempted to fly after being placed on a no-fly list.

Phew! That's some scary stuff.

Didn't he realize that South Park doesn't discriminate - they attack everyone and everything, regardless of race, religion, color, or creed!

Thoughts??

South Park Censored After Receiving Threats "Warnings" From Islamic Website

Filed under: Icky Icky PooTV News

southpark_bear_censored_e.jpg

Guess Matt Stone and Trey Parker didn't want to risk ending up like Theo Van Gogh.

This weeks episode of South Park was greatly censored after the show's creators received what Abu Talhah al Amrikee called a "warning" following the 200th episode.

For episode 201, Comedy Central gave into the Islamic website's threats and censor blocked the bear suit wearing Prophet Muhammad as well as bleeping out certain audio.

South Park issued a statement on their website saying:

After we delivered the show, and prior to broadcast, Comedy Central placed numerous additional audio bleeps throughout the episode. We do not have network approval to stream our original version of the show.

While we understand the network's decision was an effort to protect Matt and Trey, was it really the best idea to give into these despicable threats? It'll only add fuel to their extremist fire.

Radical Islamic Website Threatens South Park Creators!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooTV News

Who don't they piss off?

After last week's 200th episode, a radical Islamic website is threatening South Park's Matt Stone & Trey Parker for the way they depicted the Prophet Muhammad wearing a bear suit.

In a warning posted by Abu Talhah al Amrikee

"We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them."

Before you go googling it, Theo Van Gogh was a Dutch film maker who was murdered by Mohammed Bouyeri over a documentary about violence against Muslim women.

In 2004, Bouyeri shot Van Gogh 8 times, which killed him on the spot. However, the assassin proceeded to slice his throat practically decapitating the filmmaker, stabbed him in the chest and then left two knives in his torso with a 5 page letter attached.

Awful!

al Amrikee adds "It's not a threat, but it really is a likely outcome. They're going to be basically on a list in the back of the minds of a large number of Muslims. It's just the reality."

Dude sounds effing cray cray!

Get Trey and Matt extra security, NOW!
