president barack obama aretha franklin women of soul tribute misspells respect white house video

President Barack Obama made one heck of a splling mstake on Thursday night!

When introducing the legendary Aretha Franklin at a Women of Soul tribute at the White House, the Prez referenced her classic song Respect.

Only he spelled it a little differently! He said:

"When Aretha first told us what R-S-P-E-C-T meant to her, she had no idea it would become a rallying cry for African Americans and women and anyone else who felt marginalized because of what they looked like, who they loved. They wanted some respect."

At least he didn't introduce her as Adele Dazeem! We're not sure if he even noticed his error, but the crowd sure did! See the laugh-inspiring gaffe …AFTER THE JUMP!!!

Oscars In Memoriam Leaves Out Glee's Cory Monteith, The Simpsons Marcia Wallace, & Many More

cory monteith marcia wallace left out of oscars in memoriam

The Oscars always pays tribute to those talented and creative artists we lost throughout the year.

And every year some people unfortunately have to be left out of the In Memoriam.

This year, while we all honored Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Walker, and many more who were featured during the touching moment, some of our most beloved stars were left off the list.

Sadly, Cory Monteith, Marcia Wallace, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's James Avery, Tom Clancy, Lisa Robin Kelly, Lee Thompson Young, Phil Everly, Phil Ramone, Lou Reed, Pete Seeger, Dennis Farina, Gary David Goldberg, Alicia Rhett, Alain Resnais, Jim Jacks, and Clive Burr were left out of the tribute.

And most oddly of all, Ruth Robinson Duccini from Wizard of Oz (which had a film tribute earlier in the night) and Alice Herz-Sommer, who was the subject of the Best Documentary Short-winning film The Lady in Number 6 and passed away this last week, were both not featured in the tribute.

It's unfortunate that anyone has to be left out, but everyone was included in the online In Memoriam.

Oscars 2014: Pink performs Somewhere Over the Rainbow in a ruby red dress!

P!nk paid tribute to The Wizard Of Oz in MULTIPLE ways tonight!

She not only sang an incredible rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow on the Oscars stage, she also wore a Dorothy-worthy look!

The stunning singer rocked a deep-V Elie Saab gown that was covered in sparkling embellishments, and with the way it shimmered in the light we'd be surprised if the dress wasn't inspired by Dorothy's famed red slippers themselves!!

What a perfect pairing for her performance.

And extra props for the massive display of cleavage!

At one point in his tribute, James compared his character work to the sculptural work of Michelangelo:
