california man shoots pregnant burglar

Loss of life is awful, not matter the excuse.

An 80-year-old man named Tom Greer from Long Beach, California shot and killed a pregnant burglar who pleaded for her and her baby's life, but was gunned down by Mr. Greer anyway.

Mr. Greer says he found upon entering his home that the woman, Andrea Miller, and her partner Gus Adams, were robbing his house — which had previously been ransacked three times already.

Expect Better Vocals From J. Lo On Love?

All right! We'll be very curious to hear if she lives up to her word on this!

Jennifer Lopez recently opened up about her new album, Love?, and claims that her fans will be surprised by not only her variety of pop and urban influenced tracks, but also by her vocal ability, which she asserts to be better than ever!

She reveals:

“I’m very proud of who I am as a vocalist from where I started. The voice was always there, I was just so insecure about it in the beginning. Marc [Anthony] helped me so much because he was the one who was like, 'You have a beautiful voice.' I think people are gonna be surprised with some of the vocals on this album. There’s even songs on this album that when he heard the demo, he was like, ‘You’re gonna sing that?’ When he heard my version, he was like, ‘Wow.’ Tears in his eyes. ‘I’m so proud of you.’ I always kind of play in both worlds because that’s how we grew up, so that’s always in my music. There’s other very urbanny-type tracks on it. Don’t worry. Booty shakers, mid-tempos, feel-good [records]. I have some Tricky and Dream stuff.”

It definitely sounds as though she worked with some very talented people and pushed way beyond her comfort zone to achieve some material that may not normally be expected from her!

That's exactly what we like to hear, bb! It's so important to grow as an artist!

Here's hoping that Love? doesn't disappoint!

Simon Cowell Is Smart!

Well, we knew that already, but he's REALLY smart!

Simon Cowell is rumored to have hired an SEO firm that places positive stories about the former American Idol judge at the top of search engine results!

Supposedly critics of Cowell are having a hard time finding their work via a search engine and it's assumed that an SEO firm is behind the mystery.

For example Hans Ebert wrote a scathing blog about Cowell and it was "de-activated" by his blog host for violating the "Terms of Condition."

After 12 hours the blog was reinstated and after Ebert did some research, the trail led to "an SEO company out of Bangalore, who is hired by a company based out of London to 'monitor' news of a few 'name personalities.'"

Cowell's spokeswoman says the story isn't true, but experts think SEO firm Reputation Management Consultants are behind it.

We may have to look into doing this, too!

Update: A rep for Cowell tells us, "None of us, including Simon, have even heard of this company or that guy's blog. Simon knows if he gives criticism out he will get it back - and he encourages that when its right - always has done".
