Valery Spiridonov, a 30-year-old computer scientist from Russia, is willing to put his life on the line for a "world's first" operation.
He'd be literally sticking his neck out for Dr. Sergio Canavero, who some in the medical community have called "nuts."
That's because Dr. Canavero wants to perform the world's first HEAD TRANSPLANT!!
Why would anyone volunteer for that?? Spiridonov would because he's wheelchair bound, with a rare, genetic, degenerative muscular disease called Werdnig-Hoffman.

We really hope this former Batman makes a full recovery!

According to sources, it's a throat tumor!
That's right, law enforcement sources claim that someone called 911 from his Malibu home on Monday to report the bleeding.
Val was then taken taken to UCLA Medical Center where doctors performed surgery! Val is currently recovering!
Apparently,Val's family members were reportedly upset with him because he ignored the problem, which made it worse, according to sources.
We wish this Top Gun star the speediest of recoveries, and hope he feels better as soon as possible!

Chris Evans is basically the perfect human.
Seriously. He's like Captain America in real life.
The Bostonian actor took time out of his Holidaze schedule to visit nine-year-old fan Kenny Botting who is battling a brain tumor.

However, Chris being the most adorable superhero EVER didn't just visit Kenny, he brought gifts, autographed memorabilia, posed for pics, and even let the kids tie him up with a rope!
Looks like Captain America was really in a bind! LOL!

This just goes to show that you don't need to have superpowers to be somebody's hero.
Little Jayden Wilson just celebrated his 5th birthday, but it unfortunately might be his last as he was recently diagnosed with a Grade 4 Brain Stem Tumor and was only given a year to live.

So his father, Mike Wilson, decided to make it a birthday he would never forget by suiting up as his favorite hero, Spider-Man, and literally dropped in on his party.
Seriously, if that's not Father-Of-The-Year material, we don't know what is!
Ch-ch-check out the heartwarming moment (below)!
