nfl star running back adrian peterson released on bond after he voluntarily turns himself in for child abuse charges

This is awful!

NFL running back Adrian Peterson, who we previously reported had been indicted by a Texas grand jury on child abuse charges, was voluntarily booked into jail and posted bail after a warrant for his arrest was announced.

Peterson was reportedly booked into Montgomery County jail at 1:06 a.m. CT and subsequently released 30 minutes later once he posted a $15,000 bond.

The star Minnesota Vikings running back is believed to have struck and injured his 11-year-old son with a "switch" and the running back's lawyer released a statement that it was an "unintentional" injury.

Inmate Returns To Prison Because He Couldn’t Handle The Cold After Escape!

This polar vortex is truly the ultimate justice in the land!

An escaped prisoner from a minimum security facility in Lexington, Kentucky decided that even a prison cell was preferable to his frosty freedom!

Robert Vick may have escaped jail time on Sunday, but by Monday he walked into a motel, and asked the clerk to call the police, saying that he wanted to turn himself in and escape the cold, which was in the low single digits.

With wind chill, the temperature was 20 below zero!

Usually inmates on the run surrender because they can't take the heat, not because they need to take the heat.

Robert was checked out by paramedics and treated for hypothermia by the Lexington Fire Department, as he was in prison-issued khaki pants, a shirt, and a jacket at the time of his not-so-great escape!

Robert had been serving a six-year sentence for burglary and criminal possession of a forged instrument, and has since returned to a much warmer Blackburn Correctional Complex.

Now we bet he's hoping to receive a sentence of 65 to 100 degrees for life!
