In Australia, researchers have discovered a new species of dolphin.
The new dolphin, Tursiops Australis, is the rarest type in the world.
It’s guessed that only 150 are alive today.
Originally they thought they were just bottlenose dolphins.
Oh, what? So now all dolphins look alike? LOLz.
After measuring skull sizes and comparing DNA, they were realized to be their own species.
Researchers are currently looking for more of the new species and hopefully can get right to protecting them if there really are less than 200 in the whole world.
