We're super psyched to hear what else these two created together - especially after the initially baffling and kitschy, but ultimately captivating H.A.M!
Jay-Z and Kanye West have been hard at work on their collaborative album, Watch The Throne, and one of its producers, Guru, recently revealed that the entire undertaking is almost complete, aside from a few "little tweaks!"
"Right now, I'm really trying to get Jay and Kanye to hurry up and finish this 'Watch The Throne' album because the world needs to hear it. It just needs little tweaks and things like that. But the core of the album is finished. Kanye takes what contributing producers do and adds on to it and I think that's his genius."
Meanwhile, for those who were baffled by how out-of-left-field the album's lead single was, fellow rapper Talib Kweli wants you to know that it's the only track to feature that kind of campy sound!
"I think the most unexpected part is kind of out the way with 'H.A.M.' That was probably the last kind of track I was expecting to hear from Jay and Kanye, but they definitely have some tricks up their sleeves. And they have some types of songs that you would think they might have. They really did a good job at covering all aspects, from the songs I've heard."
Wow! This sounds fascinating!
Given what talented musicians both rappers are, they've got a lot of expectations set for themselves!
But we doubt that they'll disappoint, even if it takes a couple of listens to really get the hang of what they're attempting to accomplish!
