We were, of course, sad to see the U.S. women's soccer team lose to Japan in Sunday's World Cup Final match, but we're happy to hear millions were watching AND tweeting!
In fact, the game managed to break a record on Twitter for most tweets per second, beating out both the death of Osama Bin Laden AND the Royal Wedding!
Twitter reported that the game's final minutes, during which Japan managed to clinch the victory by penalty kicks, drew 7,196 tweets per second!
Not bad ladies! You may not have won, but you still put on one hell of a show!

Russell Crowe has been on a journey to shed some of the weight he gained for 2008's Body of Lies.
After confessing that he was struggling to get fit, he decided to start a whole new fitness routine and share it with the world on Twitter.
Earlier, we told you that he was planning on taking in "roughly 2400 cal/2600 calories including all beverages," and now looks like things are progressing well.
He writes:
First ride in quite some time. Sore legs, sore a**, be worse tomorrow and the next day
If i stop exercising my body tries 2 return 2 its heaviest weight
We're loving the honesty in his updates! Keep at it, Russ. Sure, there are always bumps in the road, but you can do it! Now, get back on that bike!
