Real-life dads Todd Koch and Cooper Smith spoke out on the expected backlash:
"We didn't expect it to go unnoticed at all, but we certainly didn't expect the newspapers in London, and all over the world to be calling, and e-mailing, and writing about [the ad.]"
The photo used for the ad was reportedly pulled off of Facebook and then submitted by the couple's friend to JCPenney! The retail chain apparently loved it… and so do we because it shows a genuine family situation!
The ad should certainly not go unnoticed, but only for positive reasons. Right???
