Tyler Perry Pleads For Bobbi Kristina Brown & Her Family's Privacy — Tired Of 'Blatant Disrespect, Lies, And Ignorance' In The Press
On Friday, Tyler Perry took to Facebook to pen a touching letter about his close family friend Bobbi Kristina Brown. Currently, Whitney Houston's daughter remains in hospice care after she was found unconscious in a bathtub back in January. Tragic.
The director wrote:
"This morning I woke up with Whitney on my mind. I couldn't help but think about all that she must have dreamed for her child. I know this was not her dream…"
We can only imagine how hard this time must be for the Brown family and those close to them. And it seems the Gone Girl actor is frustrated by all the media surrounding the 22-year-old's coma.
The 45-year-old continued:
"And as difficult as this time is for the people that love both Whitney and Krissi, what makes it more egregious is the blatant disrespect, lies, and ignorance that are rapidly printed in this awful time.
For some reason, it has become human nature in our society to look for, seek out, and celebrate darkness, glory in tragedy, and enjoy reading and reporting it. It makes me sad to know that everybody wants to be the first to report something awful."
We can only imagine this is in reference to the ongoing investigation around Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend Nick Gordon — who's reportedly been banned from her bedside.
Tyler then pleaded with his 12 million followers to respect the Brown family's privacy:
"May I ask you all to please show some decency and respect? Not only to Krissi's family, but also to the other families that are there in this place. Not only is Krissi at the center but there are several other families who are grieving the loss of their loved ones at the same time. It's heartbreaking to think that even in a time like this, this child is still not allowed any peace."
In fact, this is not the first time Tyler has assisted the R&B scion's family. It was reported that he offered Bobby Brown the use of his private plane when the news first broke of the tragedy.
"I assure you, the family will issue an official statement if something changes. Until then, can we just pray for Krissi, and the Houston and Brown families?"
Our thoughts are with the entire Brown family and their friends during this trying time.
