Uganda's Disgusting ‘Kill The Gays’ Bill To Become Law Next Month

Filed under: Gay Gay GayLegal MattersSad SadLGBT

This is criminal, unjust, horrifying and it's actually happening this year. We are stunned.

Despite international criticism, Ugandan Speaker Rebecca Kadaga (above) says her country's "Kill The Gays" Bill will become law by December because most Ugandans "are demanding it."

The law will redefine the criminalization of same-sex relationships by dividing homosexuality into two categories (aggravated homosexuality and the offense of homosexuality), and assigning new, outrageous penalties to these "crimes."

"Aggravated homosexuality" is defined as gay acts committed by parents or authority figures, HIV-positive people, pedophiles and repeat offenders. If convicted, they will face the death penalty.

"Offense of homosexuality’" includes same-sex sexual acts or being in a gay relationship, and will be prosecuted by life imprisonment.

Several European countries have threatened to cut aid to Uganda if it passes. Still, somehow the Speaker considers the passage of this Bill a "Christmas gift" to the population.

How the majority of a nation could approve these laws is beyond our comprehension.

Our whole hearts go out to Uganda’s LGBT community. Their story is truly tragic.

britain to stop aiding african countries that persecute gays

This is what we like to hear!

Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron has announced that the UK will be drastically cutting aid to ALL African countries that persecute gays.

Thus far, Britain's International Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell has cut Malawi's aid by £19 million for the country's persecution against two gay men, who were sentenced to fourteen years of hard labor. Fortunately, the men have now been freed.

In an effort to further support Prime Minister Cameron, Andrew Mitchell has also threatened to "impose further aid 'fines' against Uganda and Ghana for hardline anti-gay and lesbian measures."

Here's what a spokesperson for Mitchell had to say about it:

Uganda's "Kill The Gays" Bill Still Being Fast-Tracked Through Parliament.

Filed under: Icky Icky PooGay Gay GayPolitikSad SadLGBT

Such unbelievable injustice. It's almost too much to even process that in this day and age, this sort of hate still exists.

Despite the Ugandan cabinet and its ruling party's lawyer, Adolf Mwesige, successfully dismissing the "kill the gays" bill as it is deemed unnecessary, given other laws in place that criminalize homosexual acts, it appears that the parliament's David Bahati is STILL trying to keep it moving toward passage!
