Rick Ross has been the center of controversy due to some offensive lyrics on his new track, U.O.E.N.O., and so far he's done about everything but offer a real apology.

In the song in question, the rapper describes a DISGUSTING scene in which he slips a drug into a woman's drink and then has sex with her without her knowledge. Basically, he's bragging about date rape.

Rick has offered a weak explanation for the song, claiming that because he never uses the word "rape," he obviously isn't condoning rape. Sorry, but we're not buying it.

The rapper has now taken to Twitter to offer an extremely half-assed apology, saying:

New Petition Asks Reebok To Drop Rick Ross Over Rape Lyrics

This is the farthest thing from a Boss that we can think of!

Rick Ross is one Reebok's many celebrity endorsers and has starred in some ads for the footwear company, but now there’s a petition going around to kick the rapper to the curb over some lyrics.

He laid down a verse on the song U.O.E.N.O. in which he says:

"I die over these Reeboks, you ain’t even know it / Put Molly all in her champagne, she ain't even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain't even know it."

Sounds pretty much like date rape to us! And what’s worse for the sneaker company is that he references them right before the rape takes place!

Even his explanation was weak when he went on air to plead his case.

Apple has just announced that they'll be creating a cloud service for movies, which is set to launch later this year, or in 2012.

The company's goal with this new movie-base cloud service is to allow anybody who buys iTunes flicks to access them on ANY Apple device!
