angelina jolie captured in remarkable photo visiting syrian refugee children in lebanon

This lady does so much in such limited time.

Angelina Jolie was recently spotted attending the BAFTAs with Brad Pitt, but she hasn't forgotten her responsibilities as a UNHCR Special Envoy.

A week or so after making her rounds at the awards show the starlet flew to Lebanon where she visited a Syrian Refugee Settlement. Angelina spent three days with some of the 3,500 orphaned and displaced children at the camp. The location of the camp is in the eastern Bekaa Valley of Lebanon, and Angelina Jolie called the time she spent there "heart-rending".

The particular photo (above) was taken this past Sunday on February 23rd.

In a statement she said:

It was Hala Gorani, a reporter and anchor for CNN International, who Tweeted the amazing photo of Marwan approaching the UN staff after being separated from

Naomi Campbell Ruffles Up Her Cleavage For The South-South Awards

Naomi Campbell exposes a tease of cleavage in a ruffly pant suit at a UN event!

It's always important to dress appropriately for different occasions, and over the years Naomi Campbell has proven to be an expert at that!

The supermodel attended the South-South Awards held at the United Nations in New York City on Sunday wearing a dark navy suit.

While the ensem's perfect for peaceful politics, the flirty ruffles at the bust and cuffs added a twist that only a fashion icon like Naomi could pull off.

It also appeared that Miz Campbell's hair was back to its long length after briefly taking the shape of a sassy bob earlier this month.

You know what they say: hair today, gone tomorrow! Ha!

Prime Minister David Cameron Launches Campaign To Reduce Road Fatalities

Thank goodness.

Prime Minister David Cameron is joining Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button to launch the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety in order to reduce fatal crashes.

Road deaths are the number one killer of people over 10 worldwide, so action NEEDS to be taken!

This is a good first step!

Catholic Church Condemns UN Call For Gay Rights Support

vatican condemns un call for gay rights support

Not. Cool.

Earlier this week, we were very happy to report that Barack Obama is calling for "the United Nations' top human rights body to combat discrimination against gays and lesbians around the world."

Here's what the Vatican's Archbishop Silvano Tomasi had to say in response:

"People are being attacked for taking positions that do not support sexual behavior between people of the same sex. When they express their moral beliefs or beliefs about human nature…they are stigmatised, and worse, they are vilified, and prosecuted."

Way to come to the defense of HATE, Vatican.

We are NOT impressed.

Obama Calls For Gay Rights Support From UN!

obama calls for gay rights support in un

This is exactly what we like to hear!

Today, President Barack Obama will call for "the United Nations' top human rights body to combat discrimination against gays and lesbians around the world."

Obama wants "nations to end any criminal punishments against lesbians, gays and bisexuals," and he's asking "the global body to review how governments treat them in the UN's human rights assessments. "

Currently, this declaration by the U.S. has support from over 80 countries.

Here's what deputy assistant secretary of state for international organizations Suzanne Nossel had to say on the subject:

"We are very concerned that individuals continue to be killed, arrested and harassed around the world because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. This statement sends a strong message from across the globe that such abuses should not be tolerated."

Way to go, Obama! We're very happy to hear this! We hope your presentation to the UN goes very well!

EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL!
