Fecal Matter & Mold Found On Beauty Counter Testers!!!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooBeauty BuzzAllure

Oh. Em. Gee.

This is the grossest thing we’ve seen in a long time.

When you go to the makeup counter, you know the testers might not be the cleanest, but after seeing this you may never go again!

Good Morning America went undercover at high and low end beauty stores and secretly swabbed the lipsticks, eyeshadows and foundations.

The samples were then shipped off to a lab and the results are even vomit-inducing.

Thankfully, Linda Wells, editor at Allure, shows how to safely test makeup.

Check out the video (above) for all the icky deets.

PETA Exposes Cruelty At Dairy Farm

Recently, PETA did an undercover investigation at a dairy factory farm.

The farm takes 180,000 pounds of milk from about 1,800 cows… every day!

PETA's undercover investigator found that workers would jab and hit cows with a big pole and the manager would even electro-prod cows in the face.

This is absolutely terrible.

Check out the above undercover video to see what the investigator found.

Man Pleads Guilty To Smuggling 55 Turtles At LAX

DUMB!

A Japanese man has pleaded guilty to smuggling 55 live turtles and tortoises from his country into the U.S. by hiding them in snack food boxes. Yummy!

Federal prosecutors said in a statement that 39-year-old Atsushi Yamagami pleaded guilty Monday to one felony count of smuggling in a Los Angeles courtroom. Yamagami faces a maximum of 20 years in prison at his Oct. 31 sentencing.

Another man in the operation pleaded guilty May 23 and is scheduled for sentencing Tuesday.

The men, both from Osaka, were arrested in January at Los Angeles International Airport as part of an undercover investigation by U.S. federal agents called Operation Flying Turtle. BEST NAME EVER!

The animals are protected by an international endangered species agreement and can only be imported with a permit.

Victory! Utah Pound Seizure Stopped

Peta victory

YAY!!!!!

Here's a happy update regarding University of Utah (the University was purchasing shelter pets to use for deadly experiments).

As of just last night, we can officially declare VICTORY: The University has ended its policy!

Following PETA's undercover investigation and an intense year-long campaign, the University of Utah (also known as "the U") has announced that it will no longer purchase dogs and cats to in invasive and deadly experiments!

Since the U was the last Utah purchaser of homeless animals for use in experiments, this victory means the complete end of "pound seizure" in the state of Utah!

This is a major victory, but there are still too many animals suffering in university laboratories—in Michigan, South Carolina, and Ohio and in both Dallas and Galveston, Texas, just to name a few.

Help PETA continue to help animals, become a member today!

Turtle Smuggling Discovered At LAX

Turtles smuggled into LAX

Two men from Japan have been arrested for smuggling more than 50 live turtles and tortoises, hidden in snack boxes, into the United States.

Atsushi Yamagami and Norihide Ushirozako (USHEE'-row-za-ko), both of Osaka, were arrested Friday at Los Angeles International Airport and charged with one count each of illegally importing wildlife and one count of violating the Endangered Species Act.

These guys could face up to 21 years in prison if convicted!

We never knew the United States took turtles so seriously, but we're glad they do!

Leave endangered animals alone!

Apparently, this arrest is linked to an undercover investigation on a smuggling operation brining turtles into the United States.

Forget drug cartels, now we have turtle cartels to worry about too!

We have a feeling Hollywood action movie plots may start shifting from drugs to greener crime like animal smuggling soon!
