John Galliano's Out At His Own Label!

That's gotta hurt.

John Galliano is officially unemployed.

The board at his eponymous label decided to kick the fallen designer to the curb, almost 2 moths after being fired from Christian Dior.

There's yet to be an exact reason for why Galliano was fired, but they have plenty to choose from.

As for the future of the label, the in-house design team is said to be in charge of producing collections now.

Move Over, Kick-Ass! Man Changes His Name To Captain Awesome!

man legally changes his name to captain awesome

This is absolutely HIGHlarious!

Oregon man Douglas Allen Smith Jr. has legally changed his name to Captain Awesome!

Captain has said that his name change was influenced by a character on NBC's Chuck, whose name is Devon "Captain Awesome" Woodcomb.

Wow! Last week we found out that Chuck was the most pirated TV show, and now this! What a bizarrely influential TV show!

Here's what Captain Awesome had to say about the character that inspired him:

"I just thought it was really funny that Devon's father always called him Captain Awesome because 'a poor nickname builds good character."

He may have a superhero-like name, but Captain Awesome is actually an unemployed cabinet installer.

Hopefully now that he's got the name, he'll discover the superhero that he's always had inside of him, and he'll get rid of the crime on the dangerous streets of…Oregon.

OR if he's willing to relocate, perhaps he can get in touch with the Seattle Branch of the Rain City Superhero Movement and work with those guys.

Keep us updated, Captain Awesome! We've got high expectations for you!

If you were to give yourself a Superhero name, what would it be?

Cast Of Harry Potter Hates To Say Goodbye To Their Hefty Paychecks

Whoa, it's been 10 years since the cast of Harry Potter started filming the first film of the franchise. And now they only have two weeks left before shooting the final scene in the upcoming film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Daniel Radcliffe spoke at the National Movie Awards in London on Wednesday, saying:

"I will be devastated [when it's over]. There is nothing I watch without it triggering a series of memories. Everything [about the films] is so linked to my life. At the same time, it is exciting. It is the end."

Emma Watson got even more dramatic, adding:

"I feel like someone is dying. This kind of love and recognition is just incredible. It is also really emotional for me. I am proud."

When asked what they will be doing once it's all over, Radcliffe replied:

"I hope I can find some kind of employment after this. Otherwise, I know panto, I suppose."

After it was announced that they are some of the highest paid actors, we don't think he has to worry about anything!

How do U feel about it all ending??

Hey Cuba! Firing People Not The Answer!

The latest "remedy" to come out of Cuba to solve their economic crisis is to lay off 1 of 4 workers. Apparently, cutting the fat to this degree is supposed to reduce the amount of "idleness" in the workplace and make businesses run more efficiently.

That's great, but what about all those people you've now laid off?! What are they suppose to do? We'll tell you what they'll do, as one source explains:

"Such a high number of unemployed would imply an increase in social unrest, hundreds of thousands of people released to take up illegal occupations, and finally the trick of creating underemployment as a way of adulterating the employment statistics."

Things just keep going from bad to worse!

Even More Cuts At Disney!

How disappointing!

In order to save $$$$$$, Disney has decided to close the doors to their Bay Area-based motion capture facility!

The Marin County studio was built by ImageMovers Digital, a company co-owned by director Robert Zemeckis and Disney, and the technology was used for Jim Carrey's performance in A Christmas Carol.

"Given today's economic realities, we need to find alternative ways to bring creative content to audiences and IMD no longer fits into our business model," said Walt Disney Studios prez Alan Bergman.

The facility will be closed after Zemeckis finishes using the studio for the upcoming Mars Needs Moms!, with the doors officially closing in January 2011 and 450 employees out of a job.
