It doesn't take a genius to see that Matthew McConaughey has the Midas touch these days, because everything he touches turns out to be alright alright alright!!!
So when his beloved University of Texas Longhorns got off to a rough start of the season, he decided to swing by and see if he could maybe turn things around for his alma mater!
Besides, he played a football coach in We Are Marshall, so this should be right up his alley!!

Renee Zellweger and Doyle Bramhall may be a new item — but they're old friends!
The duo first met over 20 years ago while they were studying at the University of Texas in 1990. Insiders say the award-winning actress and the guitarist "didn't date then" during their time in Austin, but kept in touch over the years.
According to the insider, the two Texans often ran into each other in El Lay. It wasn't until this summer — when both stars found themselves single — that Zellweger and Bramhall finally decided to get romantical and go on their very-first date.

Dr. Oliver Bogler and his wife Irene are cancer researchers at the University of Texas' MD Anderson Cancer Center. And while they have their love for each other in common, they unfortunately also shared the same disease.
Even though the Bogler's news is on the low-spirited side, the couple is coping with the sickness in the most cheerful way possible, which is such an inspiration!

We have no word on whether or not these two incidents are linked or just pure coincidence, but both the University of Texas at Austin and North Dakota State University were evacuated this morning after receiving a bomb threat.
UT got a call around 8:35 a.m. from a man with a Middle Eastern accent claiming to be a rep from al-Qaeda and threatened that bombs on campus would explode in 90 minutes!
Campus officials took immediate action through every medium possible to make sure the students and staff were safe. A Twitter message read:
