We always thought Karl Lagerfeld to be the crotchety type and this proves it.
Designer Julien Macdonald recalls how Unkle K would smack an employee with his fan if they were being difficult.
The Britain's Next Top Model judge, who like Karl doesn't care for fat chics, explains:
"He used to carry around an old fashioned black fan and when you were being difficult he'd hit you with it. He'd taunt you then hit you with it - it was all done in a joking way and never done very hard, but I do remember it quite clearly. It was his alternative to a stick I suppose. Now Karl's signature is his silver jewellery but then it was these specially crafted fans. I'm quite glad I had to deal with the fans and not the jewellery. You'd get knocked out if he jokingly hit you with any of those."
So that explains why he's always wearing gloves, so he won't damage his gifted little hands while bitch slapping a worker.
As you know, Patton's Oswalt's wife Michelle McNamarapassed away suddenly in April, and he still struggles to cope with the devastating loss.
Speaking with The Times, the stand-up comedian recounted the heartbreaking morning he found the true crime author had died in her sleep -- a day he says was the "the second worst day of his life," the first being when he had to tell the couple's seven-year-old daughter, Alice, that her mother had passed.
Oswalt recalled telling his wife -- who had been working long hours investigating "The Golden State Killer" -- to "sleep until you wake up." So, McNamara took some Xanax and went to bed.
