The entire X Factor US cast was in New York on Monday at the Fox Upfront event and all three ladies were on point!

Cheryl Cole and fellow judge Paula Adbul were almost twinsies in their dresses.

Chezza chose a cute VPL-free Giambattista Valli dress while Paula went with a Alexander McQueen structured number.

The show's hostess Nicole Scherzinger obviously didn't receive the red and orange memo because she showed up in a black zippered dress.

Well done ladies!

You know you're dying to know!

Now that the first week of auditions have been completed, Simon Cowell gives us his thoughts on the new season of US X Factor.

On Paula:

"You know I’ve been doing interviews for months, you know we’re talking about the show and getting people to audition and over and over again, whether it was radio interviews or TV interviews, radio interviews, the internet, but mainly the public, I was hearing one message loud and clear. We want Paula on the show. I listened to the public, because they make or break our shows!"

On disagreements with Paula:

"What’s interesting is is she’s snappy. Paula. You know, she doesn’t like something. I’ve forgotten what she’s like. She doesn’t like you to disagree with her. And there were one or two disagreements. But that’s why we wanted her on the show. I think it’s important that everyone has their own viewpoint. But she is good at spotting talent. I mean I thought she was really on it the last two days and I said to her afterwards, this is the best I’ve seen you in a long time."

On Cheryl Cole joining the show:

"There’s no question about it. Most British people that come over to these shows seem to be being mean or rude. Not me, but others… ! But but Cheryl, she’s not like that. I mean, she’s got a lot of fire in her, but you’re going to see a very different type of British judge with her and the audience really warmed to her."

Cheryl’s hair:

"I wasn’t really taken by Cheryl’s hair. It was the equivalent of her using five gallons of hairspray and then standing in the middle of a hurricane! There was a lot of purple going on in the outfits too…

I think the guys won in the style stakes on the first day…!"

On the show's groupwork:

"There is a massive opportunity for groups right now – how they normally happen is a manager puts them together but the best ones are groups who put themselves together. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t got it totally right for the first audition if you haven’t got time – we will see potential. But I want to see as many as possible because I’m excited about this prospect. Get your mates together and form a group.

We had one good group but they were put together by their mother– the problem is mothers shouldn’t be putting together a pop groups! They were 12,13, 14– and the group should be put together by themselves. And they definitely don’t get styled by their mother!"

Any songs he's tired of?

"Yes! I’m really close to already banning Grenade by Bruno Mars. It all sounds the same . It used to be I’m Yours by Jason Mraz. Now we have got a replacement."

Ha! We love his honesty! So far the US X Factor sounds EPIC! Can't wait for the fall!

And so it begins.

Newly appointed judges Cheryl Cole and Paula Abdul made their US X Factor debut at Sunday's auditions in El Lay.

Chezza must not have a stylist in the US yet, because there's no way a professional would have put this together..

The Geordie arrived in Diane von Furstenberg pants that were way too long, an orange ruffled Oscar de la Renta top and aqua colored Burberry Prorsum.

Paula, on the other hand, wasn't nearly as bad in her purple dress and matching shoes.

Not a good way to start, but it can only get better from here, right?

The hosts have been chosen for Simon Cowell's US version of X Factor.

Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones will host the new singing competition reality show, which begins shooting this Sunday in El Lay.

Jones is most well-known for hosting UK's T4 Music and the BBC's As Seen on TV.

Inneresting choice. Nicole seems like a right fit. And it looks like Simon really wants to give his fellow Brits a chance at stardom here in the U.S.

We're interested to see if they Steve and Nicole have chemistry.

Cheryl Cole officially landed in Los Angeles on Friday to begin working on the American version of X Factor!

She looked gorgeous wearing a tight-fitted red leather jacket and aviator glasses as she arrived into LAX from Heathrow.

We're so happy to have you here, Chezza!

Now, get to work and show America how wonderful you are!

Bummer!

Rihanna has confirmed that she will not be on the judges' panel when X Factor premieres in the U.S. later this year.

She did, however, confirm that she had been in talks with Simon Cowell, but the timing just didn't work out.

She explains:

"It’s something that I would have loved to do. But … you have to be around months at a time, which is impossible for me."

We see how that could be a major interference with her busy schedule, but we're still sad that our girl RiRi won't be joining the show. We can't blame her though….

Guess that means that there's a still spot open for PEREZ!

The list of potential judges is getting longer.

Rihanna is just the latest pop star whose name has been thrown in the X Factor mix.

Simon Cowell is said to be a big fan of RiRi and wants his panel of judges for the U.S. series to be BIG.

Fergie, Jessica Simpson, and Nicki Minaj are just some of the other names that have been mentioned.

Ri's a good fit.
