Virtual Reality Makes Cookies Taste Better!

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueFood

Instead of choosing a low fat brand cookie, the Japanese have created a virtual reality to modify the taste of a bland, healthier cookie.

While wearing a giant plastic helmet, cookie munchers chow down on a bland wafer which is virtually simulated to appear as a more appetizing cookie, like chocolate chip.

The virtual image, along with the added scent of the selected cookie spraying out of the head device, tricks user's taste buds into thinking they are eating the real deal!

Called the "Meta Cookie", the contraption boasts:

"By changing the combination of scent and texture to overlay on the marked cookie, "Meta Cookie" can chance its taste which the user perceives from it."

Now thats hardcore! Check out the demonstration of the contraption in action above to see how this incredibly useless inneresting invention works for yourself!

Is Charlie Sheen A Lost Cause?

So sad. We're starting to worry that his wake up call just is never going to come.

In spite of Charlie Sheen's recent hospitalization, his friends are speaking out about his behavior, and reveal that the actor STILL doesn't see anything wrong with his hard pAArtying lifestyle.

One explains:

"He definitely did not OD but, yes, he was partying. He doesn't think he's going to die. He doesn't want to stop. In his eyes, he thinks, 'I'm having fun, so what? I'm making $2 million a week, the show has the best ratings, I show up for up work. What's the problem?' He's got so many people saying they're concerned and they have the power to help him but you can't force things on someone, you can't make him get help. He loves the attention, he loves to shock people, he loves that he gets away with all of this. And he can because there are no consequences – that's the problem. It's who he is, like it or leave it. Maybe at 22, you're with five hookers, so what? But when you're his age and a father, it's just ridiculous."

Another friend says:

"He's in serious condition. Doctors are still trying to figure out exactly what it was. They're running a lot of blood tests. … The crazy thing is, he'll probably be just fine. It's part of why he doesn't see the problem. People are rallying around him to intervene. Everyone is very concerned for him at this point. It's a really scary situation. Nobody is surprised. This is an ongoing problem."

We couldn't have said any of this better ourselves.

The sad truth of the matter is it that everyone's concern is ultimately useless, because until he realizes he needs help, he's going to continue to do whatever it is that he wants to do.

He's had no consequences for such a long time that he probably truly thinks he's untouchable, and that's what makes us more nervous than anything else.

We sincerely hope that his behavior changes, for the sake of his health AND his children, but we seriously doubt that that will ever happen at this point.
