How To Apply Makeup Without Covering Your Freckles

makeup-tips-natural-look-freckles-uzmee-krakovszki.jpg

CoCoPerez reader Mary asks:

I have fair skin and freckles. My skin is a combination of dry and oily depending on the weather. I also never wear blush because I don't need to because my cheeks are always red, and I don't usually like to wear foundation because I don't want to cover up my freckles and look fake.

So my question is, could you come up with a method to apply makeup, ie. foundation so I don't cover my freckles but also remain natural looking.

And here's celebrity makeup artist Uzmee Krakovszki's tip:

Hi Mary,

For your skin I would recommend a tinted moisturizer with SPF which will even out your skin tone whilst moisturizing and protecting it from the sun as well.

Use a cream blush over the tinted moisturizer if you like it more natural look. And don't forget to lightly sweep a loose powder over the face specially the T-zone.

Hope this helps!

Q & A With Celebrity Makeup Artist Uzmee Krakovszki

From CoCoPerez reader Carlee:

How do I get my eye makeup to last all day? Even when I use waterproof makeup, it still seems to run after several hours because my eyelids become greasy throughout the day. Help!

Answer from celebrity makeup artist Uzmee Krakovszki:

Hi Carlee,

Thank you for the question!

First of all you should choose a thick consistent mascara like Diors — this mascara is great and will stay on a lot longer than your general mascara.

Secondly, if you use a padding powder to de-shine your eyelids, or use a soft kleenex sheet to tap your eyelids in between hours that would help too.

Also, if you use a non grease eyeshadow base before you apply your eyeshadow or without eyeshadow that helps.

Lastly, if you don't sweat much then non waterproof regular mascara would be ideal for you too!

Hope this helps!
