Law & Order: SVU's Christopher Meloni will be joining the fifth season of the Sookie Stackhouse/Vampire Bill Variety Hour as a SERIES REGULAR, portraying "an ancient, powerful vampire who holds the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands."

The Saw franchise director's new movie is being compared to The Shining, and the True Blood star's role in the flick is being described as follows:

We assumed that meant that Alicide, the ridiculously rippled werewolf, was out of the picture for good. However, judging by the turn of events from last week and this new sneak peek, Sookie's love triangle could be turning into a quadriLOVEteral!

We're going to EXPLODE with excitement over this wonderful news!

Alan Ball has shut down rumors that he'd be stepping away from his wildly successful True Blood after the current season wraps, because he's apparently closed a multi-year deal with HBO, which ensures that he's committed to the series!

However, after season five, he'll be allowed to decide whether or not he wants to stay on as full-time executive producer/showrunner!

He reveals:

"I have no desire to leave. Doing the show, I'm having more fun than I have ever had in my life."

Excellent! That's the spirit!

Because we're having the time of our life enjoying the Sookie Stackhouse and Vampire Bill Viking Vampire Eric variety hour!
