After 7 days of deliberation, jurors in the murder trial of ex-NFL player Aaron Hernandez have reached a verdict.
The former New England Patriots player has been found guilty of first-degree murder, as well as the lesser charges of illegal gun possession and illegal ammunition possession.
According to reports, Hernandez was in shock as the verdict was read. He had plead not guilty for the June 2013 murder of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd.
The jury deliberated for an entire week after the 6-week trial.
This verdict carries a penalty of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
After sentencing, Hernandez will face yet another trial, this time for two shooting deaths in Boston.
