So sad….such a heroic dog dying in the line of duty.
A Belgian Malinois has died while performing a bomb sweep in New Orleans for Vice President Joe Biden.
The veep was speaking at the Ritz-Carlton when the pooch fell over the roof of a six story parking structure.

Dick Cheney isn't the healthiest of people out there, and we figure it's less about how he's living and more just about his physical state. We all know he's had heart surgeries before.
Interestingly enough, though, Dick has decided to write a book about it all. Not about his time in office or crazy road trips with Dubya (he already wrote a memoir), but his journey through heart treatments!
We think this is a fab idea!
Here's what he said about the book:

On November 15th, Parks and Recreation's Leslie Knope is finally getting her wish and will meet her "ideal man," Joe Biden!
The re-elected Vice President of the United States is making a cameo appearance (above) in next week's episode of the NBC comedy that will take place in Washington D.C.
While we think it would be pretty hard to book the VP of the nation, executive producer Michael Schur says it was "so much less difficult than we ever possibly imagined" and continued:

We previously mentioned that Penn State's ex-president, Graham Spanier, is now facing charges related to the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal.
We had said that the former athletic director Tim Curley and Penn State's ex-vice president Gary Schultz were also going to be charged for their inaction during the whole scandal.
Well it's official now, Curley and Schultz were arraigned in court today in a ten minute hearing.

One thing is certain: Jason Sudeikis is pulling double duty HARD this season on Saturday Night Live!
The actor SLAYED with his impersonation of Vice President Joe Biden in last week's sketch mocking his debate with Paul Ryan, but this time around, he switched political sides by taking on Mitt Romney in an equally, if not MORE amazing re-working of Tuesday's town hall-style shenanigans, also featuring Jay Pharaoh as Barack Obama!
Ch-ch-check it out (above)!
Sadly, this was one instance

Oh man!
Is it just us, or was Jason Sudeikis reaching 'Sean Connery on Celebrity Jeapordy' levels of HIGHlarity last night?!
The actor appeared as Vice President Joe Biden in Saturday Night Live's opening sketch last night, which skewered the Vice Presidential debate along with Taram Killam as Congressman Paul Ryan, and frankly, it was easily one of the best, most spot-on parodies we've seen from the late night series in quite some time!
Ch-ch-check it out (above)!
Oh, and just wait!
There's even

While Bill Clinton delivered a stunning speech at the Democratic National Convention, Al Gore is making his presence known during this election season too!
Following his coverage of both conventions, the former Vice President and almost-President of the United States is hosting Current TV's coverage of the first Presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.
He'll be commenting on points made by both candidates in Denver, Colorado on October 3.
We bet he'll be pretty pissed if they don't bring up global warming.
