One of America's most successful reality television shows, American Idol, could be thisclose to reality TV heaven.

Let's just say AI is not having a great season!

The long-running show has been at the top of the viewership for YEARS now, but last night the singing competition had the its lowest ratings in 11 years!!!

We guess people weren't interested in rocking and rolling because even though Rock Night was filled with classic faves like the Rolling Stones, Queen, and Bon Jovi, that still wasn't enough to draw in an audience.

Last night's American Idol is apparently the lowest rated AI premiere EVER, with only 17.9 million 18-49 year-old viewers tuning in!

It seems that rather than watching Nicariah's tense back and forth and having one's ears violated by terrible singers, Tuesday's TV night viewers tuned into NCIS instead.

Boo! You guys are missing out! This panel has the chance to be the strongest its been since the original trio. You've got really knowledge, eloquent, fierce people keeping it real with these young people. There's some real promise here!

So please, maybe tune in tonight, help boost the readership… save the show from being cancelled!

Hey FOX! Stop messing about with X Factor and get your sh*t together!

The major network made a HUGE snafu Wednesday when they accidentally aired the WRONG episode of X Factor on the east coast — a new episode telling fans who was chosen as the final 16 contestants — and a repeat episode on the west coast…

And now to semi-fix their mistake, the West Coast FOX heads will air a re-cut version of the episode they accidentally played on the east coast, on Tuesday at 9:30pm, which is a different day than usual and at a much later time.

NBC has been majorly criticized throughout their entire 2012 Olympic Games coverage, and THEN they go and cut half the Iconic British-musician STUFFED pie that was the closing ceremony in favor of some new comedy about an animal hospital…

Even though some folks weren't too pleased that NBC decided to withhold the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony in London so they could air it for US primetime Friday night, it certainly paid off…and broke some RECORDS in the process!

That's right, 40.7 MILLION VIEWERS tuned in to watch the Danny Boyle-directed spectacle, marking it the MOST-WATCHED Summer Games opening EVER, and also the MOST-WATCHED NON-U.S. Olympics opener ever!

In fact, the only ceremony it falls behind was that of the 2002 Salt Like City Winter games!

Not too shabby!

And with the AH-MAZINGness that was the James Bond/Queen Elizabeth sketch, we honestly can't say we're too surprised!
