Raven-Symoné Thinks The Spring Valley High School Assault Victim Shouldn't Have Broken The Rules — And Says 'There's Two Wrongs' Here!

Filed under: TV NewsLegal MattersBusted!TeensViolenceEducationalSchoolViral: NewsControversy

Wait, what did she say?!

Earlier this week, a video surfaced online of a resource officer, Ben Fields, violently arresting a student at Spring Valley High School in South Carolina after the girl ignored her teacher.

Just Wednesday morning it was reported that Fields has been fired for the incident in which he used maneuvers that were "not acceptable" and federal investigators are now involved.

But something you may have missed was Raven-Symoné's controversial stance on Monday's After The View!

The former child actor agreed that there was no reason for the officer to use that kind of force — but tried to express the student was ALSO wrong in that she shouldn't have been using her cell phone!

Co-host Paula Faris even somewhat sided with Raven. Thankfully Michelle Collins served as a voice of reason who reminded that the brutality should be the focus, and whatever rules the student broke is no excuse for it!

Ch-ch-check out Raven's absurd argument (above)!

The real 66-year-old icon caught wind of the picture that drew more than 1.6 million likes and chose to clear up the situation.

The movie follows Gere's character — homeless and mentally ill, George — as he tries to fix his relationship with his daughter, played by Jena Malone. During filming, Mr. Gere was essentially undercover in an (sometimes failed) attempt to not be recognized.

This is crazy!

In case you haven't seen it yet, a disturbing video (below) showing a South Carolina school officer violently arresting a student at Spring Valley High School has gone viral.

Spring Valley student Aaron Johnson, who was allegedly present in the class at the time of the assault, said that the girl was asked by their teacher to leave the classroom and go to the discipline office.

When she ignored the teacher and an administrator and refused to get out of her seat, the resource officer was called in and asked her if "she was gonna go or if he had to make her go."

Johnson explained what happened next, saying:
