Teen Who Convinced Her Boyfriend To Commit Suicide Via Text Is Now Claiming She Was 'Brainwashed' Into Helping! What The What?!
Hold the phone!
You may have heard about the Massachusetts teenager who was charged with involuntary manslaughter after allegedly convincing her boyfriend to kill himself via text message. Well, now Michelle Carter's defense team is claiming that the 17-year-old was "brainwashed" into helping Conrad Roy III commit suicide. What the what?!
Her lawyer Joseph P. Cataldo explained:
"She says, 'Okay, if you're going to do it, good luck and look down from Heaven upon me.' She didn't want him to do it at first. It was only upon his repeated statements and telling her, 'I want to do this,' that she then endorsed his idea."
We don't know about this one. Didn't the deceased state that he had changed his mind in their phone conversation?!
However, it appears Ms. Carter's legal team is defending that there is no evidence that Michelle caused the late Fairhaven, MA resident's death.
