walmart holds a food drive for its own underpaid employees

With Thanksgiving just around the corner and Christmas soon after, it's the time of year to give to others who are less fortunate than yourself.

So Wal-Mart decided to get into the spirit by holding a food drive, asking customers who come in to donate food for those who might not be able to afford a hearty holiday feast!

But the food wasn't going to a homeless shelter or a local charity. Everything was actually going toward their own employees!

Wal-Mart spokesperson Kory Lundberg said he thought the move was definitely a positive thing:

EXCLUSIVE! E!'s Fashion Police Writers Carry On With The Funny While Striking! Watch HERE!

You can’t stop the jokes from coming!

E!'s Fashion Police writers might be in the middle of a heated battle for fair wages and Writers Guild of America recognition, but that isn’t stopping them from cracking the eff up!

And cracking US the eff up, we might add.

The writers might be buried up to their elbows in legal dramz, but they’ve also been quite busy making a HIGHlarious little video about what they’re “really” doing with all this extra time!

We’re rolling on the floor laughing over some of these insane one-liners they came up with upon the NEW claims people are being asked to write Joan Rivers' jokes anonymously and get paid under the table!

Seriously, E! is missing out with these jokesters.

It might be time to give them what they want. They’re CLEARLY worth it!

Ch-ch-check it out (above)!

The tax-man has cometh and he has cometh HARD.

Back in February, we reported that Nas owed the government over $6 million in taxes!

We can’t even fathom how anyone who can afford an accountant could let this happen, but there it is.

Now, the government has apparently grown tired of twiddling their thumbs waiting for the rapper to pay his dues. Obama’s crew have decided to take what’s theirs and garner Nas’ wages until

Mario Batali's Eatery Gets Sued…By It's Own Workers

mario batalis four star restaurant sued by its own workers

What better way to celebrate being awarded a fourth star by The New York Times than getting sued by 27 workers, claiming they weren't paid legal wages!

Mario Batali's new restaurant in NYC, Del Posto, is the basis of a lawsuit filed in federal court by restaurant workers who claim that their managers improperly pooled tips and withheld some gratuities on wine and cheese sales.

According to the lawsuit, workers were awarded gratuities based on a point system, which operates as follows:

Captains - highest rung on waitstaff ladder - 6 points

Bartenders - 5 points

"Front Waiters" and Food "Expediters" - 4 points

Stockers - 2 points

Also according to the lawsuit, workers claimed they were getting short-handed on their share of a 23 percent service charge that is billed to patrons, which they all assumed was a gratuity.

These workers got flat fees of $150-$250 per shift, and they're seeking compensation which includes backpay, unspecified damages, and attorney's fees.

Hopefully you can get this all sorted out, Batali! Sure, you make wonderful food, but do you really feel comfortable knowing that you're mistreating all of your workers?

Thoughts???

Employees Sue Chef Mario Batali Over Unpaid Wages!

Tsk Tsk!

Celebrity chef Mario Batali is being sued by two employees at his New York restaurant Babbo, claiming they were cheated out of wages and forced to split their tips with other workers who did not have the right to take a cut of their share.

A lawyer for the employees commented on the case, stating, "It is sad to see a prestigious employer line his pockets with money belonging to the little guys."

Their class-action suit seeks unspecified damages for themselves and all other "similarly situated" co-workers who work at the Italian restaurant.

Shame on you, Mario! What would BFF Gwyneth say??
