Is Christopher Dorner Dead? Driver's License Found Near Body!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooLegal MattersSad SadViolence

chris dorner cabin destroyed by fire opt

Is this chaos finally over?

Police have still not confirmed that the body found in the Big Bear cabin belonged to suspected murderer Christopher Dorner, but there is finally another clue!

According to a private police briefing, a wallet was found in the charred remains of the house- and that wallet contained the California State ID of Christopher Dorner.

Now while this is far from conclusive evidence, the identification of the license at least bolsters the hopes of millions that the murderous rampage is at an end.

Of course, we won't have a definite answer for hours as a forensic identification must still be made on the body.

Google Wallet Replacing That Thing In Your Back Pocket

Google wallet

Hate losing your wallet? Well, this news is making it sound like wallets will soon be obsolete, so you may be losing it permanently.

Google, Inc. is launching a trial-based Google Wallet payment system this summer, which customers living in San Francisco and New York can utilize if they have a Google Nexus S 4G.

Called a "single-tap" solution, shoppers should be able to pay with a single tap of their phone on a payment terminal, or a swipe past it.

Neat-O!

Too bad it's actually more of a "double-tap, followed by a signature" solution since a Google exec had to tap TWICE, then sign on the screen of the terminal to make a purchase during the demo in NYC on Thursday.

Two WHOLE taps? That really takes the "O" out of "neat-O"! Ha!

While Google assures us it is more secure than a credit or debit card, there are still some pros and cons to this new technology.

Pro: You're wallet will never be stuffed with too many dollar bills or receipts to fit in your pocket again!

Con: If you drop this wallet in the toilet you may not have another method of payment to buy another one. LOLz!

We'll probably stick to our water-proof credit card for now, but it sounds like that ancient piece of plastic may not be around much longer because every company and their mother is developing similar technology.

Would U rather just swipe your smart phone than use a credit or debit card?

Being The Governator Took A Toll On Arnold's Wallet…And Family

arnold took losses as governor

If Arnold needs to earn back a few bucks, all he'd have to do is sign on for Terminator 5! Easy as that!

According to Arnold Schwarzenegger, he lost over $200 million while serving as governor of California. His losses stem from office-related expenses and lost income from acting jobs.

Here's what Arnold had to say about it:

"…I'm not sorry. It was more than worth it."

But what was probably NOT as worth it was the toll it took on his family life. More from Arnold:

"What was much worse was the damage my time as governor did to the family. There is a lot there that needs to be repaired."

According to the former governor, his family hated his job, because he'd have to leave their L.A. home every Monday morning for the Sacramento capital, and then he would sometimes not return until the end of the week:

"It was heartbreaking every time. In my second term of office, I did better. I tried to fly home every evening."

Sorry to hear the job took a toll on your family, Arnold. Hopefully now you'll have more time to spend with them…at least until you make your inevitable return to the big screen!

If the Phubby wasn't your cup of tea, maybe this is.

The Callet is a cell phone holder and wallet in one and is available for both the iPhone and Blackberry.

We get the idea, but we don't think they really thought this whole thing through. The Callet makes losing your cell phone AND wallet that much easier, especially after a night of pAArtying.

Dooney & Bourke Purses Being Copied?

Just last week, we mentioned how Coach was suing Kmart after discovering the retail chain was selling merchandise resembling the company's trademarked "C"s logo.

Coach argued that Kmart's luggage was "found to be counterfeit merchandise," with a "confusingly similar" design, quality, craftsmanship that "does not meet Coach's high quality standards".

And if that was the case with Coach, we have a feeling Dooney & Bourke might soon be opening a case of their own.

Though maybe not against Kmart alone, but against handbags by Attention.

Kmart is currently selling Attention handbags and wallets in zebra print. And the bags with the leather, burgundy handles look very similar to D&B's collection.

The main difference?

D&B's handbag collection, pictured in the above two images, range anywhere from $165 to $395, while the purses Kmart's selling, last two images, don't go for more than $20.

What do U think? Just a coincidence? Or a clear copy of Dooney & Bourke's purses?
