The heroic canines have tirelessly worked since that natural tragedy occurred on March 22nd. However, if rescue dogs are overworked, their sensing capabilities

Obama's Pardoned Turkey Will Just Die Anyway!

President Obama's pardoned turkeys don't actually live much longer to enjoy their freedom.

Well this just burst a magical Thanksgiving fantasy we had.

One of the best parts of Thanksgiving is when the President pardons two turkeys from having to be eaten.

Sure, when President Obama waves his magic hand, the turkeys are no longer on death row. Heck, they even move to George Washington's historic home of Mount Vernon.

But after that? They don't make it very long.

The problem is

Dog Found Under Rubble 30 Hours After Illinois Tornado

A man found his lost dog under the rubble of his destroyed home 30 hours AFTER a tornado hit!!

This is absolutely incredible!!!

Jon Byler Dann thought that his dog Maggie had died when a tornado struck his Washington, Illinois home.

He had had Maggie for eleven years, so he was obviously very heartbroken.

AH-mazingly, 30 hours later, he was sifting through the rubble that was once his home when he heard barking! This sounds familiar…

He began digging and found his lost doggy, alive underneath a pile of carpet.

She was alive!!

Her hip was dislocated and she was a little banged up but she's totally fine otherwise!

Maggie was taken to the vet and received treatment and is doing well now!!

So glad this man got his beloved pooch back! We love happy endings.

O… m… g… this is the cutest thing EVERRRRR!

At Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, Washington, a two-year-old named Marshall Shaffer was having the time of his life.

He was super excited to see the animals, but especially the tigers!

How do we know? Maybe it's the fact that tigers are just straight up amazeballs… oh and also he was wearing a tiger costume.

Marshall was at the tiger enclosure, looking through the glass at a scary, cute baby tiger.

The little boy was so excited, he began running back and forth along the glass…. and the tiger joined in!!

Check out the video (above) to watch a tiger cub play with a human cub!

Government Shutdown Leads To World's Saddest Photo!

A cute kid is sad that the government shutdown closed the zoo!

And, we thought the loss of the panda live feed was the harshest thing to come out of the government shutdown!

But, this picture pretty sums up just how we're all truly affected.

As we all know, the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. is "temporarily closed" because of the government shutdown.

While the men and women on Capitol Hill are stubbornly hashing out their petty bipartisan squabbles, not only have thousands of people been without work and pay for almost two weeks now, but as you can see by the (above) photo, it's greatly affecting the children.

And, we couldn't be more depressed.

It's just a picture of a gate, blocking the entrance to the zoo, with a big sign that reads:

"The Zoo is temporarily closed."

…Beneath the sign, hanging onto the gate like a prisoner clinging to the bars of his cell, yearning to pass through them, is a young child, wearing an animal ear hat, as he stares wistfully into the distance.

Dead leaves lie motionless in front of him…..

No cute animals for you today, Billy Everytoddler.

Have you no shame, U.S. Government?? Have you no shame!!!

Serval Cub

Hello little baby serval! You're so cute!

A serval is more closely related to an African golden cat and the desert lynx than a cheetah; it just has cheetah style spots.

It looks like it has the body of a big cat, but the head of a house cat! It's so adorbz! Just look at those ears!!

This little guy is Sheldon and he was recently born at Washington state's Point Defiance Zoo.
