Tubular, dude!

Surfer Garrett McNamara, a 44-year-old pro surfer, was just recognized by Guinness World Records for riding the tallest wave EVER!

It was a 78-foot wave off the coast of Portugal!

The funniest part is he almost didn't get out of bed that morning after a full previous day of wipe outs.

"I was really beat-up that morning. This day, I did not want to get out of bed."

Luckily, his friends got him to come out that day.

Gerard Butler had to be rescued from a huge wave while filming his surfing movie Of Men and Mavericks, a new movie about Santa Cruz surfer Jay Moriarty.

The actor was shooting at Mavericks, which is known as a treacherous surf break with gigantic waves, located in Northern California. He was swimming out with some surfing experts when a 15-foot wave

The Jersey Shore star was recently approached by Kim Kardashian to DJ an event at her DASH store for NYC's Fashion's Night Out, and not only did he agree to the gig, but he waved his normally $40,000 appearance fee as a wedding present to the fellow reality star!

So sweet! And so, SO thoughtful!

Not to mention he's probably going to KILL it!

The risk is part of the excitement of big-wave surfing — but it can be too much.

Sion Milosky, 35, died on Wednesday after after a large wave crashed down on him at California’s Mavericks Beach.

Said Chris Killen, a filmmaker who taped Milosky's final wave:

"He was really deep and he makes the drop, and the end section comes and just explodes behind him as he straightens out. I'm looking over just devastated. His head's flopping, and I could tell he was blue from far away."

Waves at Mavericks can reach 80 feet in height — witnesses say that the one that killed Sion was at least 50 feet.

So sad.

Wow! We're not sure how constitutional this is, but a part of us thinks it isn't a terrible idea!

Rep. Ed Buchanan, of Wyoming, is reportedly attempting to pass a bill that will require that couples attempting to get married or divorced to go through counseling together - and have to pay for it themselves!

According to the bill, if they don't want to go through that, then they would legally have to wait a year to get a marriage license or a divorce decree!

Buchanan explains:

"Perhaps a year is too long to wait. I wanted to open up the discussion. All it is is education. It's education regarding the most common stressors in a relationship."

The state currently holds the nation's third-highest divorce rate, and is one of the top reasons for children to end up in poverty.

According to Buchanan, Wyoming already requires divorcing couples to take co-parent counseling before the split, but he wants the bill to pass so they can also learn how to deal with each other once the divorce is finalized.

The bill also has the option for a judge to wave the counseling requirement in divorce cases, if one of the parties is a victim of domestic violence.

Wow! You have to admit, it's an inneresting idea - and they certainly seem to have taken a lot into consideration to ensure that nobody's rights are being violated!
