At least Universal has the sense not to try to make a direct sequel to that awful Wolfman movie which came out last year!

A new direct-to-dvd Wolfman flick called Werewolf is in the works, which appears to be a reboot of last year's Wolfman reboot. Ha!

On July 21st, the thousands of geeks who traveled far and wide to be in San Diego for this year's Comic-Con are actually going to sleep in that morning. That's because they know if they do, they'll avoid what we're dubbing the Running Of The Twi-Hards!

Summit Entertainment has just announced that they've scheduled the panel for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 for first thing in the morning on that Thursday. Along with appearances by Bill Condon and The Holy Trinity of Twilight cast members, exclusive never-before-seen footage will be shown from the film.

Oooh! Wonder what scene they will show? The wedding? The werewolves? The honeymoon, bed-breaking SMOOSHING?!

We know what we want to see!!! Bam chicka wah wa…CRACK!

SPOILER ALERT: Video contains some story deets from upcoming Teen Wolf pilot episode.

Back in March, we were surprised at how impressed we were with the trailer for MTV's upcoming TV series Teen Wolf.

Now, a new behind the scenes clip has been released (above) and we're still feeling pretty good about this one.

As we said before, it's got coming of age elements, romance, AND it looks pretty dark too - all ingredients in a recipe for potential success!

…And yes, the HAWT shirtless werewolf factor doesn't hurt this show's cause either. LOLz.

Werewolves, Vampires, and Sookie! Oh my!

This sounds like a lot of fun!!!

During a recent interview, Kevin Williamson spoke about his new pilot The Secret Circle, and he's made it a point to emphasize that it's an entirely separate project from The Vampire Diaries:

"My biggest fear is I don't want to be split between the two shows and I don't want to water myself down and hurt either."

“My goal is for Julie [Plec] and I to stay focused on The Vampire Diaries, and Andrew Miller and his team will be in place and we will help and guide him along the way [on The Secret Circle]. I’m not going to step away from my vampires. I’m too invested at this point; it’s too much of a family for me to walk away from, but there’s room in our day for me to help guide The Secret Circle along the way.”

And here's Kevin on the similarities between the two shows:

“Those similarities exist, but the mythology is completely different."

“The witches in The Vampire Diaries are not in the same universe. We’re not connecting them; there are no crossovers. There are no vampires and werewolves in the witch world in Secret Circle.”

“You’ll watch us build another mythology based on L.J. Smith’s books that will become as twisty and turny as The Vampire Diaries [is] but with a whole new story. There’s an epic love story that we hint at in the pilot that is going to blow up about two soulmates. It’s not as violent as The Vampire Diaries or as scary.”

We're glad to hear that Kevin will continue to focus on Vampire Diaries as he pursues this next project.

And yes, as we said before, we'll def tune in for this new show. Sounds pret-ty good to us!

For those of you out there looking for a slightly more intense werewolf experience than Twilight's Jacob can provide you, a solution may be on its way with a reboot of The Howling series!

We absolutely loved The Howling movies and we're SO excited to hear that they're returning!

Looks like Anchor Bay Entertainment has picked up The Howling: Reborn for a U.S. theatrical release for next year.

Here's the new Howling's synopsis:

“On the eve of his high school graduation, unremarkable Will Kidman finally bonds with the girl he has long yearned for, reclusive Eliana Wynter. But he also discovers a dark secret from his past…that he is about to become a werewolf. Now, in an effort to fight destiny and save their love as well as their lives, they must battle not only Will’s growing blood lust but an army of fearsome beasts bent on killing them…and then, us all.”

We hope this lives up to the original series!
