Some Moms are NOT Safe Behind the Wheel!

Uh oh!

This isn't good!

A survey of 2,396 U.S. mothers with kids under the age of two found that ten percent said they were involved in a car crash while driving with their baby. That's over three times higher than the normal rate found among the general population.

We are very disturbed by these numbers! Especially for those defenseless babes that are in the back seat!!! That's so dangerous!

Here's what one editor said in regards to the study:

"While we expect new moms to feel exhausted, we were shocked by their lack of focus while driving, especially when their baby or toddler is in the car. The combination of fatigue and distraction is a perfect storm where safety is concerned."

We hope ALL of the moms out there will make sure they're looking out for their own well being and the well being of their child!!

And if you're tired–then take a day off and rest up! Your kid will thank you later!!

Developer Howard Bulloch has announced a-mazing plans for a 500-foot viewing wheel, which will be built on the Las Vegas strip.

Bulloch plans to open the Skyvue Las Vegas Super Wheel in 2013, along with "a roller coaster and 200,000 square feet of retail, restaurant, and entertainment space."

Here's what the developer had to say about his grand project:

"Skyvue Las Vegas will complement both the hospitality and entertainment industries. This world class attraction fills a niche in our economic recovery, creating jobs and offering a new and unique entertainment offering for the tourist base."

The wheel will contain 40 gondolas, each of which will be capable of holding up to 25 people. They'll be available to rent for "private parties with catering and drinks."

This is REALLY cool. Guess we better start looking into plane tickets now…

Will U visit the Skyvue Las Vegas Super Wheel when it opens in 2013?

New Study Reveals Exercise Keeps Mice Us Young

Exercise Prevents Aging

Here's another reason to exercise on the reg!

The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences published research demonstrating that exercise was able to reduce almost all the visible and functional effects of aging in mice that had been genetically programmed to grow old FASTER than normal mice.

Researchers used lab mice whose mitochondria (the powerhouse of the cell) carried a genetic mutation that affected their ability to repair dysfunctional mitochondria, which overtime, began to malfunction and die.

This mitochondria failure — which the mice developed by 3 months of age or 20 human years — can result in chronic fatigue, neurological disruption, problems with sight and hearing, hair loss and muscle weakness, which are all signs of what WE call "aging".

To test how exercise affects mitochondrial failure, one group of mice went about their days with no exercise. By the time they were eight months old — 60 in comparison to human lifespan — they were in poor health and died before the age of 1.

The other group of mice exercised on a wheel for 45 minutes three times a week for five months after the mitochondrial failure began at three months.

Guess what?

These mice were healthier! They had healthier hearts, dark full hair, greater brain volume and muscle mass and well functioning sexual organs.

This experiment shows that regular exercise can dramatically slow down the effects of aging!
