Academy Award nominated screenwriter Will Rokos was hospitalized after being clipped in the head by a subway car in NYC on Saturday.
He was leaning over the platform as the northbound train came into the station, striking him in the head. The impact sent him flying onto the platform. Rokos was found semi-conscious and lying on his side when help arrived.
The victim tried to push himself up after the accident, but witnesses tried to keep him still. Unfortunately, the subway driver saw Rokos, but couldn't stop in time. Officials said the driver slammed on the brakes, but the first five cars still pulled in to the station.
Although he is also an actor, Rokos is best known for penning the 2002 film Monster's Ball. He is in critical but stable condition.
