fdny firefighter dies movie set

Such sad, sad news.

A New York City firefighter — and father of four young children — has died after combatting a massive blaze that broke out in a building previously used as a movie set. According to reports, the fire ignited in the cellar of a building in Harlem around 11 p.m. on Thursday. While the space was unoccupied at the time, it had been used "earlier to film a movie."

Multiple reports have claimed that the fire broke out on the Ed Norton-directed Motherless Brooklyn, starring Bruce Willis, Willem Dafoe, and Alec Baldwin.

After two firefighters were rushed to the burn center at Cornell, it was confirmed that FDNY vet Michael R. Davidson did not survive the fiery encounter. Davidson, who served New York for 15 years, died at Harlem Hospital due to his injuries. He was only 37 years old.

In a statement confirming the untimely death, FDNY noted:

Jason Momoa isn't shedding tears over what those rotten critics have to say about Justice League!

The latest DC Comics blockbuster made a lukewarm splash with the prickly professional movie reviewers who still have a bad taste in their mouths from the franchise's last superhero mashup Batman V Superman.

But if you ask the actor behind Aquaman, the film is AWESOME and all those salty critics can suck on a barnacle!

Jeff Goldblum Flying, Willem Dafoe In Drag, & A Puppy-Monkey-Baby — This Year's Super Bowl Commercials Are Quite… Odd…

These are getting weird…

We're just four days away from America's favorite Holiday, and in today's world of instant gratification that means we're already getting Sunday's commercials for some reason.

That's not necessarily a complaint because they're usually HIGHlarious, but it would be nice if some companies actually saved their surprises for the Super Bowl itself.

For example, Snickers' new Marilyn Monroe-inspired ad would probably have made some Best Of lists, but now that we've seen it, it won't be as impressive during the big game!

The other commercials that went up early today are just as weird — Mountain Dew's Puppy-Monkey-Baby is rather nightmare-inducing while Apartments.com features Jeff Goldblum, a full choir, and, randomly, Lil Wayne

Ch-ch-check out the wackiest ads from Super Bowl 50 so far (below)!!!

As we say goodbye to 2015, one of the things we're most excited about is finally getting to catch up with Nemo and friends in Finding Dory!

It's been 13 years since we last saw Ellen DeGeneres make her animated mark as the forgetful Pacific regal blue tang, but luckily Disney and Pixar haven't been stingy when it comes to teasing us about the Finding Nemo sequel.

In fact, they even released new character designs for Ty Burrell and Kaitlin Olson's sea creatures on Wednesday — and they could not be cuter!

Christian Bale And Zoe Saldana Get The Oscar Buzz Started With Out of the Furnace Trailer!

Pay attention Academy Award voters! Because this looks like it's going to be GOOD! Best Picture nominee good!

The first trailer for Christian Bale and Zoe Saldana's new movie Out of the Furnace has been released and we already can't wait to see it! Talk about INTENSE!

His days as Batman may be over, but Bale is once again fighting for justice after his character's kid brother disappears.

Casey Affleck plays the little bro who winds up on Woody Harrelson's bad side and in a whole mess of trouble!

Forest Whitaker, Willem Dafoe and Sam Shepard also star in this CHILLING family crime drama.

We'll do the math for you: that's 2 Oscar winners, 4 former nominees and a director whose last movie, Crazy Heart, had critics running to their keyboards to get out their rave reviews.

We think this film is going to be picking up some trophies of its own VERY soon!

What do YOU think?
