Mr. & Mr. Winklevoss: Pay Your Lawyer, Already!

As two of the greatest vocalists and divas of our time - or any time - once sang in unison:

Enough is enough is enough!

The Winklevoss twins have been avoiding the enviable for too long and now, things are starting to catch up to them. If you don't know who Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss are, then you clearly have not seen The Social Network and must absolutely go and rent it this evening. We'd recommend RedBox since it is more than likely Netflix will… you know what, we won't got there.

Things have finally come to an abrupt and expensive end for the Winkleviii as an appellate court in New York refused to hear further arguments this week and have ordered the boys to hand over the $13 million they owe to the law firm which helped them draft a settlement agreement with Facebook.

Another devastating loss for the twins. As another set of privileged twins once put it: HOW RUDE!

Maybe this will be the last we'll ever have to speak of them. There's some justice right there!

It's Over! Winklevoss Twins Finally Drop Facebook Lawsuit!

winklevoss twins drop lawsuit against facebook

Good! As we said last month, it's time for them to move on.

To recap….as we saw in The Social Network, the Winklevoss twins sued Mark Zuckerberg for turning their failed ConnectU project into Facebook.

THEN the twins Winklevii were being sued by Wayne Chang, who was also involved with ConnectU. He claimed that he was elbowed out of the $65 million settlement between the Winklevoss twins and Facebook.

AND THEN the twins re-ignited their lawsuit with Facebook, and tried to bring the suit to the Supreme Court, in an effort to get the settlement invalidated.

Now, Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss have decided to let it go and keep their settlement.

Here's what Facebook said in response:

Winklevoss Twins Want To Bring Facebook To Supreme Court!

winklevoss twins want to reignite facebook lawsuit

Those of us who saw The Social Network know that the Winklevoss twins sued Mark Zuckerberg for turning their failed ConnectU project into Facebook.

THEN last week, we learned that the twins Winklevii were being sued by Wayne Chang, who was also involved with ConnectU. Chang claims that he was elbowed out of the $65 million settlement between the Winklevoss twins and Facebook.

And how are the Winklevoss twins addressing this issue? By attempting to re-ignite their lawsuit with Facebook, of course!

Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss want to bring their Facebook lawsuit to the Supreme Court, in an effort to get the settlement invalidated.

They're claiming that Zuckerberg "defrauded" them in the settlement because they were paid in Facebook stock, which they claim is valued at "less than half what they were led to believe."

Here's a statement released by Cameron and Tyler's attorney:

"The Court’s decision [to] shut the courthouse door to a solid claim that Facebook obtained this settlement by committing securities fraud. Our Petition to the Supreme Court will ask the high court to decide whether that door should be reopened."

Let it go, Winklevii! Instead of trying to get more money out of Facebook, why don't you focus on making things right with Wayne Chang…the guy YOU TWO screwed over? Remember him???

Do U think the Winklevoss Twins deserve more money from Facebook? Do U think Wayne Chang deserves money from the Winklevosses?

Winklevoss Twins Being Sued With Their Favorite Kind Of Lawsuit

Tables Have Turned For Winklevoss

Isn't that kind of the definition of hypocrite??

So, do you guys remember who Wayne Chang is? He's was another person in the failed ConnectU project, and now he's suing them because they allegedly elbowed him out of the $65 million dollar settlement they got from Facebook in 2008.

We would agree that he's entitled to a portion of that settlement, of which he didn't see a penny!

A judge finally said that the lawsuit can proceed for Chang, though it was all the way back in 2009 when it was filed:

The suit was filed back in December of 2009, but a judge just ruled it could proceed, meaning that while the Winklevii continue their doomed quest to re-sue Facebook they will be defending themselves from a lawsuit that claims they basically did the same thing to a guy that Zuckerberg did to them.

That's right, they're re-suing Facebook too.

Not going to lie, we aren't huge fans of the Winklevoss twins. They seem pretty shady/whiny/entitled to us.

Grow up, guys, and just enjoy the now estimated $100+ million your original settlement is worth! (Some of it was paid out to them in Facebook stock.)

How Did Non-Twins Play Twins In The Social Network?

socnetwork104e.jpg

Believe it or not, The twins who play the Winklevoss twins in The Facebook Movie The Social Network are NOT twins at all, in fact, they aren't technically two different people.

The Twins Winklevoss are played by the same actor, Armie Hammer, from the shoulders up, but one of the twins is played by actor Josh Pence (from the shoulders down).

How did they pull this off? Here's what Josh Pence had to say about it:

"It was shocking at first. He said now, obviously these are identical twins. They're going to want to make them true to the story. In some way your face is going to be morphed. . . . once I got over my ego, it was a no-brainer."

For 10 months, the two actors worked with acting coach Cameron Thor to master subtle movements and speech patterns that the genetically identical twins would have in common.

There you have it! Two different actors, a morphed face, and extensive twin training! We think the end result was very impressive.

Did U think the Winklevoss twins were actually twins when U saw the movie?
