Ever since the passing of last year's ugliest dog, Yoda, the world has been in need for an ugly pooch.

Enter Mugly, who's just been crowned the NEW World's Ugliest Dog!

A Chinese crested (who would've guess that!) dog with a short snout, white whiskers and beady eyes, Mugly beat 28 other dogs Friday to be crowned champion at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma, California.

With fame, $1,000, a pampered night at a local Sheraton and a year's worth of doggie cookies, is the new title worth it?

Mugly, an eight year old rescue, also won Britain's Ugliest Dog contest in 2005.

We bet his mama, Suzanne Marta, is proud of her pooch, regardless of looks!

And he is KINDA cute…LOLz!

Former American Idol winner Kris Allen, who dropped a new album not too long ago, has the cutest dog EVER!

His doggy, Zorro, is so cute and popular that, aside from being on his daddy's latest album cover, he has his own twitter (@ZorroPup) with over 3,000 followers!

Elizabeth the Lhasa Apso!

Crufts is the UK equivalent of the Westminster Dog Show and it's the largest in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

The 7-year-old doggy is owned by the proud Margaret Anderson.

Funny fact about the Lhasa Apso: they were bred in Tibet as guard dogs for Buddhist monasteries and Tibetan nobility.

Not sure how effective of a guard they'd be with that long hair running down their faces but maybe they used to rock ponytails.

Congrats to Malachy the 4-year-old Pekingese who won Best in Show at the 136th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Malachy is a veteran of the dog show circuit, having 114 wins already!

That's crazy!

The dog's handler said:

"I'm still in shock, it's such a thrill.

I'm just so proud to have a dog that's of this quality that could win a show like this, and to have the opportunity to exhibit him here – it's the thrill of a lifetime."

It really must be, not only because it's a prestigious title, it has a very long history.

The Westminster Dog Show has been going on since 1877!

It's been broadcast on TV since 1948.

It was Doritos for the win - AGAIN!

Check out the HIGHlarious commercial for the snack featuring a Great Dane using some pretty clever means to cover up a feline's 'disappearance' (above)!

The commercial was made by Virginia Beach graphic designer Jonathan Friedman for only $20, and because it was voted first in USA Today's annual Super Bowl Ad Meter contest, won him $1 million!

He reveals:

"It's pretty incredible."

It certainly is! A true testament to how just a clever, cute idea can take on a life and momentum all its own - and with little to no money spent!

Teddy's favorite, by far! And apparently, he's not alone!

Veterinary Practice News, a vet magazine, held a contest for "Wackiest X-rays."

The winner was an unnamed dog who had eaten literally 9 pool balls. Almost an entire billiard set!

That's crazy!

His owners brought him to the vet after they noticed he was acting strange, having trouble moving around.

The vet quickly realized something was wrong after feeling his abdomen for abnormalities.

Runners up had swallowed an owners dentures, and another eat a whole bottle of glue.

Make sure to keep things out of your pets reach!

Though we don't know who would've seen their dog eating 9 pool balls coming.
