If only real life could be as magical as The Wonder Years.

We were heartbroken to hear Danica McKellar, the actress who played the adorable Winnie Cooper, filed for divorce a few weeks ago.

Like so many others, she cited "irreconcilable differences," but it turns out the REAL reason was that music composer Mike Verta wasn't bringing home the bacon! A source weighing in on the split said:

Winnie Cooper Danica McKellar has filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Mike Verta.

The lovely Wonder Years star had already spent eight years with the music composer when she married him. And the two share a 1.5-year old son. So this one really bums us out! :(

Damn those "irreconcilable differences!"

Fortunately for little Draco, they seem to be in agreement on joint custody.

The papers were filed June 4. Sigh… what a way to start the summer!

Danica McKellar, famous for her role as Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years, gave birth to her first child on Tuesday. She and her hubby welcomed a little guy named Draco Verta, named after the constellation. The couple released a statement about their new addition, saying:

"We are humbled, overjoyed and so grateful for this miraculous gift. It's like we've only now just learned the true meaning of love."

Aww, sweet!
