What a huge win for Bratz!

Creator of the doll line, MGA Entertainment, Inc. was awarded $225 million in punitive damages, attorney fees, and costs.

In the lawsuit that we previously told you about, Mattel toy company was found guilty of stealing MGA's ideas through "corporate espionage." Mattel was accused of using trade secrets that didn't belong to them, which resulted in a $85 million win to MGA. The rest of the $137 million will cover fees and costs that MGA incurred while defending themselves against Mattel's original copyright infringement claims.

Serena Williams Back In Action After Injury

Serena Williams back in action

And in top form!

Serena Williams played her first tennis match since January on Tuesday in the UK and WON!

She took on Bulgarian tennis pro Tsvetana Pironkova at the AEGON International and came back after being a set down to defeat Pironkova 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.

On Wednesday, Serena received the good news that she had been announced as the No. 7 seed at this year's Wimbledon, which begins Monday.

The position is 19 places above her world ranking and allows her to avoid playing the highest-ranked players until at least the quarterfinals.

Congrats!

Serena has been out of commission since a foot injury required multiple surgeries, then suffered a blood clot in her lungs, but looks to be coming back full force!

Good luck at Wimbledon next week!

Check out more pics of Serena back in action below!

Gay Teen Fights With School For Prom Queen Title!

Filed under: Gay Gay GayInspirationSad Sad

Such a brave young man! And he sounds pretty FIERCE, too!

Omar Bonilla of Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pines, Florida, has made headlines for battling it out with his school administration because he not only wanted to attend his Prom in drag, but also run for Queen!

Bonilla, who only recently came out of the closet, apparently managed to be one of the top three potentials most voted for, but the school administration asked him to attend the event in a tuxedo.

Bonilla met with his school principal on two separate ocassions to plead his case, but during the second meeting, was slapped with a two day suspension for parking in a vistors spot on campus, which meant he would not be able to attend his own prom!

WTF?? Sounds to us just like they were just trying to get him out of the way so they wouldn't have to deal with him! Disgusting!

Bonilla says:

"They were looking for an excuse for me not to go, so they said I got suspended for a 'minor disturbance.' I wanted to just make a stand and prove a point. Everybody is your friend, and you don't have to care what people say. Be fierce about it. Show that you work it."

He was soon after invited to attend the Pridelines Youth Services gay prom as a special guest this past Saturday - and won the title of Prom Queen there!

We're heartbroken to discover, however, that after finally getting his crown, the poor kid was disowned by his family!

How awful! We can't imagine what kind of parent would be able to turn away their own child after being so courageously honest with the world like that!

Shameful!

Keep your head held high, Omar! You should be very proud of the stand you've taken! We certainly are!
