Not A Moment Too Soon: Work It Gets Cancelled

Filed under: TV NewsGay Gay GayLGBT

work it ratings drop

We're so glad this offensive, and offensively unfunny, show has been CANCELLED!

It was labeled as one of the worst sitcoms of all time, so TV watchers everywhere can sigh in relief that they don't have to accidentally watch it ever again! Ha!

So what's going to take that spot? Cougar Town?

Not yet at least: they'll be running reruns of Last Man Standing for the rest of January until they figure it out.

Either way, at least we're rid of that atrocity — if not for the reason of it being wildly inappropriate and detrimental, for the reason that is was just terrible.

Did U like Work It?

Work It Is STILL Not Werkin' The Ratings!

work it ratings drop

It's NOT looking good for ABC's new cross-dressing comedy.

Last week, Work It brought in 6.1 million viewers and a less-than-fantastic 2.0 rating in the adults 18-49 demo.

Now, the show has once again dropped in the ratings, landing a weak 1.6/4 rating in adults 18-49, which was a 20% decrease from the show's first episode. Ouchie.

Enjoy the next few episodes of the show, Work It fans! We're pretty sure this one isn't going to make it.

Have U been watching Work It? If so, what do U think of the show???

Work It Wasn't Exactly Werkin' The Ratings!

work it ratings

ABC's new cross-dressing comedy didn't attract as many viewers as they wanted…

Work It only modeled for 6.1 million viewers, scoring a sad 2.0 in the 8:30 adult demo.

Critics have even said "it's so bad, you feel sorry for it a little."

Enjoying a much better night was CBS with 20 million tuned into NCIS.

So what do U think? If you're a show offending the transgender community, you might not have the best ratings. Think so? Or do U think that's totally unrelated?

Check Out The Poster For ABC's New Cross-Dressing Comedy Work It HERE!

We thought Jack & Jill would finally put the long-awaited nail in the coffin of this subgenre of comedy.

We were wrong.

Check out the first promotional poster for the new ABC show Work It (above), featuring yet another pair of men attempting to beat whatever system this series will employ by dressing as women, and - shocker! - no one in its universe will seem to notice the blatantly obvious!

Let us guess: NO HIGHlarity ensues!

First Community, And Now Cougar Town Gets Dropped From ABC Midseason Line-Up!

What on Earth is going on with these networks?!

NBC already devastated us by announcing their midseason line-up with no Community, and now, ABC has followed suit…and they seem to have dropped Cougar Town from the schedule!

No word on if it's being canceled or shelved, but coming instead are Good Christian Belle's, Work It, and The River!

Ugh. With the exception of the Kristin Chenoweth comedy, we have to ask again: WHY?! WHY?!

Why get rid of one of the better shows on TV right now?

Our heads are going to explode! WTF?!

Check out the full list of midseason replacements for ABC…AFTER THE JUMP!

All right, gurl! Bring it!

According to industry sources, Jill Scott's just released new album, The Light of the Sun, is set to earn her the number one position on the Billboard 200 album chart as soon as next week, as it could sell as many as 125,000 copies by June 26th!

We wouldn't be surprised! Her lead single, So In Love, is working its way up to the 10 spot on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart!

Well done AND well-deserved!

Is Edgar Allen Poe Having A Comeback? New Series Based On Author In The Works!

Filed under: TV NewsWacky, Tacky & True

First the John Cusack movie and now this?! What's going on?

Now that pilot season is well underway, we've gotten word that ABC has apparently ordered a crime drama in which famed horror writer Edgar Allen Poe solves mysteries!

According to the official synopsis:

“Crime procedural following Edgar Allan Poe as the world’s very first detective, using unconventional methods to investigate dark mysteries in 1840s Boston.”

Oh boy.

Depending on the direction this one takes, it could be kind of dark and gritty, in a From Hell kind of way, in which case we'd certainly approve!

But no talking raven sidekicks, guys! LOLz!

Check out some more recently picked-up pilots…AFTER THE JUMP!
