Little Person Blames English Rugby Player Mike Tindall For Serious Injury

Mike Tindall

Attention everyone! Throwing a person smaller than you into the air is NOT cool!

Martin Henderson, a 37-year-old dwarf who played a goblin in the Harry Potter films, was paralyzed after a drunken hooligan picked him up and tossed him into the air (and eventually the ground).

The 4-foot 6-inch actor is now putting the blame on English rugby player Mike Tindall and his World Cup teammates who participated in dwarf tossing New Zealand last fall.

Bono Praises Alicia Keys At The Premiere Of Her AIDS Documentary

Bono and Alicia Keys

Alicia Keys may have just found her number one fan!

Bono, the lead singer of U2, praised her for not only her musical endeavors, but her charitable impact on the global fight against AIDS.

At the world premiere of Keys' new Showtime documentary Keep A Child Alive with Alicia Keys, the rocker and well-known philanthropist praised her for finding her "lioness energy" to visit South Africa while pregnant to shine a light on the AIDS epidemic.

The R&B singer started the Keep a Child Alive charity in 2003 to assist those affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. Bono believes her positive influence on the less-fortnuate world around her will only grow stronger since giving birth last year because she won't "let other mothers suffer."

Alicia hopes the film, which airs on the premium channel in conjunction with World AIDS Day on December 1st, will inspire people to start donating toward her organizations cause.

"Even if you never have been able to travel there, or if you never can," she says. "That doesn't mean you can't travel with us and really see it for yourself."

Fox And Telemundo Break Out The Check Book For World Cup Rights

Fox Telemundo Soccer

Quick, how much do you think Fox and Telemundo paid to have the rights and Spanish language rights for the 2018 and 2022 World Cup?

If you said anything other than a BILLION dollars, you're wrong.

Fox shelled out $425 million, Telemundo paid $600 million.

But not only does Fox get the World Cup, it gets everything including, "all FIFA events from 2015-2022. That includes the women’s World Cup, as well as the under-20 and under-17 national team competitions."

Our question is — is it worth it?

For Fox and Telemundo it had better be — can't be going around blowing that kind of cash!

FOX Nabs Rights To 2018, 2022 World Cup Telecast

FOX Sports has beat out ESPN for the rights to televise the 2018 and 2022 FIFA soccer World Cup!

Despite losing the rights to broadcast all English-language FIFA events from 2015 through 2022, including the rights to the women's World Cup in 2015 and 2019, the Disney-owned sports network is still committed to soccer, saying:

"ESPN remains committed to presenting the sport of soccer at the highest level across our platforms with coverage of the UEFA European Football Championship, English Premier League, La Liga, MLS and other top leagues and tournaments, including the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.”

ESPN shouldn't feel to bad for losing the bidding war though. The network can still look forward to insane ratings and money from the 2014 World Cup!

If FOX Sports is anything like their "fair and balanced" counterpart, FOX News, we're sure they will find a way to make sure America looks like a winner in 2018 — regardless of the final score.

Men's U.S. Soccer Coach Fired

U.S. soccer coach

Bummer!

Bob Bradley, the head coach of the men's national soccer team, has been fired just one year after renewing his contract to continue coaching through 2014!

U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulat said in a statement:

"We want to thank Bob Bradley for his service and dedication to U.S. Soccer during the past five years. During his time as the head coach of our Men's National Team he led the team to a number of accomplishments, but we felt now was the right time for us to make a change. It is always hard to make these decisions, especially when it involves someone we respect as much as Bob. We wish him the best in his future endeavors."

After taking over the position in 2007, Bradley's record is 43-25-12 overall and helped lead the team to the Round of 16 during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

We hope the change will at least bring about a longer run, if not a total victory, at the next men's World Cup!
