Royal Wedding Dominates The Internet, Breaks Live Streaming Records!

royal wedding breaks live streaming records

Sheen's Korner has got NOTHING on the royal wedding!

Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding livestream broke a record with "300,000 concurrent viewers at 6 a.m. ET on Friday morning." Wowsa!

Livestream's CEO Max Haot says he's expecting "at least 2 million" viewers tuning in by the time the broadcast is complete.

Not only has the royal wedding broke records for the company live stream, but it's broken Internet live streaming records in general, and according to reports, its “concurrent live streams of Royal Wedding on Akamai surpassed the 1.6M peak set by World Cup in June of 2010.”

Impressive! Then again, this doesn't surprise us!

Who WOULDN'T want to tune in for such an exciting, momentous occasion???

Did U watch a live stream of the royal wedding on the Internet?

P.S. Be sure to watch Perez as he hosts "Will + Kate Forever," the only royal wedding special worth seeing, airing tonight, April 29th at 7pm/6c on Wedding Central and also at 9pm/8c on WE tv.

FIFA President: Gay Fans 'Should Refrain From Any Sexual Activities' During 2022 World Cup In Qatar

Um….boycott?

FIFA President Sepp Blatter made an announcement on Monday that homosexual fans "should refrain from any sexual activities" that are illegal in Qatar during the World Cup in 2022.

WTF???

He then had the audacity to make a statement touting how they wouldn’t discriminate and that soccer bridges borders.

Said Blatter:

"It's another culture and another religion, but in football we have no boundaries. We open everything to everybody and I think there shall not be any discrimination against any human beings, being on this side or that side, left or right or whatever.”

Yeah, it sounds like you’re open to anyone but gays!! We hope that by 2022 they will have changed their tone on this issue!!

David Beckham Wants An Invite To The Royal Wedding

We are sure Victoria would love to accompany him there!

Recently David Beckham has been lobbying FIFA for votes, along with Prince William and the Prime Minister to have the 2018 World Cup held in England.

Becks and Will have been working close together and apparently the popular engagement has come up a few times! He admits that he has not yet asked for an invitation, but he just may if they win the bid!

Beckham is not the only celeb that wants an invite to the wedding. Snoop Dogg has dedicated a song to Pince William for his bachelor party and has offered to sing at the wedding!! LOL!

We bet that would go over well with the queen!

We can't wait to see how it all turns out!

Morgan Freeman Stumbles Through World Cup Speech

Oooops!

Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman has been helping the US earn a bid for the 2022 World Cup, but in the final presentation on Tuesday, Morgan fumbled through the speech and accidentally skipped a page!

Freeman read:

"You would see that in a country that admires individual achievement, we truly cherish what can be done when we come together as a group. And there is no stronger, more resolute supporter …"

He then paused and said, "I'm sorry, I missed a page," and tried to regroup.

We hope this doesn’t affect the US’s chances of getting the World Cup in 2022!

Drew Carey Accused Of Stiffing Touring Company

wenn2942667.jpg

Since Drew Carey is big soccer fan, he was more than thrilled to attend the World Cup this year, but a touring company claims that he stiffed them the down payment on a 35-night stay at a 5-star resort.

The company insists that Drew's assistant called in January to get tickets to some of the games and book a hotel room for his month-long stay in South Africa. The total cost of the trip was $376,930.13.

Since they claim that Carey only paid for the tickets and did not use the hotel room, the touring company are suing for their $220,000 down payment plus interest and damages.

Drew's rep says, "This is a ridiculous lawsuit. The company knew in early March that Drew was not booking the trip through them and we are confident that Drew will be vindicated in court."

Yikes!

World Cup Ends Big!

1232010-fifa-world-cup.jpg

Not like last year's Super Bowl big, but for the U.S., it got HUGE ratings.

Sunday was the final game in the 2010 FIFA World Cup Final. In the end, Spain won over the Netherlands with an extra-time goal, but the real winner was the FIFA itself.

This year's games went down in history as the most-viewed World Cup telecast ever on English-language TV in the United States. It ranked as the third most watched program in Univision’s history and with the game playing on several different networks, the total U.S. audience for the final game was 24.3 million.

Impressive!

Congrats to Spain!
