Homophobic Pastor: 'I Don't Advocate Beating Your Gay Child'

Do you believe him?

The infamous pastor from N.C. who told parents to BEAT the gay out of their children has retracted his violent and disgusting statement and claimed his terrible sermon was taken out of context.

Watch the video (above) and decide for yourself what context those ill-informed comments were meant to be in.

Here's what Pastor Harris said:

"Those were not the best choice of words. If I had to do it over again again I would not choose those words. I was using hyperbole in an effort to communicate the importance of the gender distinctions that God created."

He claims his sermon was based on specific bible passages which condemn homosexuality, but when asked about similar passages that condone slavery, Harris insisted slavery is wrong. At least he got something right.

He's still an a** though!

Demi Lovato Began Developing Eating Disorder At Just 8-Years-Old

Demi Lovato talks about eating disorder

So sad, but we're happy to hear she has not only gotten healthier, but is helping other girls beat eating disorders as well!

Since leaving rehab, Demi Lovato has been increasingly open about her emotional issues that lead to her eating disorder, which she recently admitted has been plaguing her since just 8-years-old!

In a recent interview, the singer and actress shared:

"I was compulsively overeating when I was eight years old. So, I guess, for the past 10 years I've had a really unhealthy relationship with food."

Even worse, she began to cut herself on the wrists at just 11-years-old!

Ugh, that breaks our heart to hear that a child would have so much emotional trauma to resort to self-mutilation!

Demi said that cutting herself was a way to deal with the emotional pain she was struggling with, explaining:

“It was a way of expressing my own shame, of myself, on my own body. I was matching the inside to the outside. And there were some times where my emotions were just so built up, I didn’t know what to do. The only way I could get that instant gratification was through an immediate release on myself."

Demi has partnered with Seventeen Magazine to help other young girls going through the same kind of issues and encouraging them to spread the word that "love is louder than the pressure to be perfect."

We hope Demi has beaten her eating disorder and can help inspire others to beat their eating disorders as well!
