The Walking Dead Show Boss Quits!

Guess we kind of knew he was a wild card after all that drama with the show's writing staff!

Despite the fact that show creator Frank Darabont was present at the Walking Dead Comic-Con panel on Friday, we're now hearing that he's stepping down as showrunner of the series.

He MAY stay on the show in some way/shape/form, but it looks like that is still TBD.

We're not 100% sure why he's leaving the show, but we've heard it could be that he had trouble adjusting to the TV world after spending so much time on features.

Hopefully AMC is able to find a satisfactory replacement. We'd hate to think that the show could fall by the wayside without Frank. Season Two was looking pret-ty intense! (above)

What do U think? Will The Walking Dead live on without Frank Darabont?

HawthoRNe Writing Staff Let Go Three Episodes Before Completion!

hawthorne-writing-staff-let-go-three-episodes-before-finishing-the-season

What is going on over there?!

Although there are still three episode left to shoot this year on the TNT medical drama, HawthoRNe, all of the show's writers were recently sent home with full pay for the remained of the season!

Even more strangely, star Jada Pinkett-Smith's brother, Caleeb Pinkett, is said to have replaced ALL of them!

However, producer Miguel Melendez claims that this is not the case, and that the writing staff just happened to finish early.

He explains:

"Everyone finished their scripts early. The first two years we worked the entire time, the entire day, ’til the last day. This is a high-class problem. [Caleeb], as a producer, is tweaking the script, but he's not writing."

What on Earth?! That seems a little unusual to us!

And industry sources seem to agree!

According to a veteran TV executive producer:

"Well, then they're the first show in the history of recorded television that's ever finished early. Never happens. Never."

Hmm…sketchy, sketchy!

Especially since this isn't the first time we've heard about Jada's relatives coming in and making a stink!

We'll be very curious to see how the last three episodes of the third season turn out, indeed!

What do U think is going on??

Frank Darabont FIRES ENTIRE Writing Staff Of The Walking Dead!

Filed under: Icky Icky PooTV News

We don't know about this…it sounds like a pretty terrible idea!

Sources close the production of the new smash series The Walking Dead have revealed that executive producer Frank Darabont has fired the show's ENTIRE writing staff, and plans to keep it that way for the 13-episode second season - by relying on freelancers!

WTF?!

Out of the six first season episodes, two were written solely by Darabont, while he co-wrote the other other four - which were written by original writer of the comics Robert Kirkman, Glen Mazzara, and two non-staff writers.

Well yeah, but next season is going to be double that! Doesn't he think that he should have people on-staff to help get everything off of the ground?!

And even if not, the series has been such a huge hit! Why mess with that when it's still so new??

We just have a bad feeling that this is going to really blow up in his face. Writing a film alone is one thing, but some of the best material on TV has come from a real collaborative effort!

Let's hope that Darabont knows what he's doing!

Thoughts??

Team CoCo Writers Live!

You want to know why Conan O'Brien is so funny?

It's because of his comical gingey head writing staff!

The writers of Conan will be filming an hour long special called Team Coco Presents Conan's Writers Live at the second annal Just for Laughs festival in Chicago next month.

The idea is to give audiences a "taste" of what Conan's new gig will be like. Hosting the show will be Conan's sidekick, Andy Richter, who believes the show will be a great way to keep the news of Conan's TBS gig in the public eye, while giving his boss a much needed rest. Andy says:

"It was a good way to do a special that was about the show and not so specifically focused on Conan. After this tour is over, he's going to be a little spent. And the writers are chomping at the bit to get a little taste of performing again."

Something really interesting for hardcore Team Coco fans to tune in for. The rest of us can just wait until October.

Are U going to watch?
