Someone Very Close To Angelina Jolie’s Heart Has Passed Away…

So sad!

We first introduced you to Louis Zamperini last year. His inspirational true-life story is being turned into a movie, thanks to Angelina Jolie who is directing and producing the project!

But this week, the 97-year-old passed away after a 40-day battle with pneumonia.

Angie and Louis became very close after she heard his harrowing tale of survival. Zamperini, a former Olympian, spent 47 days lost at sea during World War II. He was then captured by the Japanese and spent 2 years in a POW camp!

If that’s not an AH-Mazing movie plot, we don’t know what is!

Before he died, Louis spoke about his famous friend, calling Miz Jolie:

“A human dynamo!”

He also said he was certain that she would tell his story the right way.

The Zamperini family issued their own statement after losing Louis, which read:

"Having overcome insurmountable odds at every turn in his life, Olympic runner and World War II hero Louis Zamperini has never broken down from a challenge. He recently faced the greatest challenge of his life with a life-threatening case of pneumonia. After a 40-day long battle for his life, he peacefully passed away in the presence of his entire family, leaving behind a legacy that has touched so many lives. His indomitable courage and fighting spirit were never more apparent than in these last days.”

Unbroken, the film based on Louis’s incredible life, is due in theaters on Christmas Day. You better believe we’re gonna see it!

Rest in peace, Louis!

Brad Pitt And Shia LaBeouf Get Tanked Onset Of Fury!

We just cannot shake the thought of Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf fitting both of themselves into the same hole. Sure, it's just the hatch of a tank, but still we're saluting at half mast!

Brad and Shia got cozy inside the hull of a tank onset of Fury today! Hopefully, the armored vehicle didn't turn out to be a Decepticon, for Shia's sake!

The movie has the pair playing tank crew members during the end of World War Z II, fighting Zombies Nazis!

It must be nice for the two actors, who are currently in London, to take a break from being in El Lay!

If they filmed this flick on the west coast, they would have to constantly check for street cleaning signs, and worry about parallel parking a tracked, armored fighting vehicle!

Amy Adams Joins PT Anderson's Scientology Film!

amy adams joins scientology film

They should get Tom Cruise next! He WAS in PT Anderson's film Magnolia. LOLz.

Okay, so Tom is probs not going to do this film or any film with Paul Thomas Anderson ever again, but we're pleased to report that Amy Adams is set to star in PTA's Scientology film!

Adams will star as the wife of Philip Seymour Hoffman's character, who has been described as "a man who returns from witnessing the horrors of WWII, and in an attempt to find himself, he forms a belief system that catches on in the 1950s."

Joaquin Phoenix has also been attached to the film as Hoffman's "right-hand man." Other actors in talks for the film include The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo's Lena Endra and Laura Dern.

As we said before, this sounds like a very inneresting film, and we're excited to see Amy Adams on board! We know she'll be wonderful!

R.I.P.

She's pretty iconic and until today, we didn't even know her name.

The nurse famously photographed in the VJ Day picture being kissed in New York's Times Square when World War II ended, died this week at the age of 91.

Edith Shain passed at her home in El Lay on Sunday and leaves behind three sons, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Sad, but at least she could say she live a full and happy life. Plus, there is a little piece of her that will forever live on in history, which should be really cool for all those grand kids of hers.

Our condolences to her family.
