Wyclef Jean is asking for unused school buses to be donated to his charity for Haiti.

Haiti is still recovering from that horrible earthquake in 2010.

Wyclef is an ambassador of his homeland of Haiti and he's been raising money to fund his recovery mission Yele Haiti.

And now he's hoping his fans will help him find buses.

He tweeted:

"Good morn I am looking for school buses in Fair conditions to be donate to Ship to Haiti for students in desperate needs of transportation."

Anybody know of any unused buses??

And The Next President Of Haiti Is…

michel martelly elected president of haiti

Things might not have worked out for Wyclef Jean, but ironically enough, a DIFFERENT pop star has been elected President of Haiti.

Popular singer Michel Martelly, aka "Sweet Micky," has won the presidency of Haiti with 67.7 percent of the vote.

Some of the major issues that Martelly promised to address while campaigning include:

- Free education for all children

- A renovation of the agricultural sector

- Restoration of the disbanded army

Following his official inauguration on May 14, he'll be faced with the tremendous challenge of continuing to rebuild the country, after last year's devastating earthquake.

We continue to send our thoughts, prayers, and support to the people of Haiti. We truly hope everything goes well with their new leadership, and we wish them the absolute best!

Do U think Michel Martelly will make a strong president for Haiti? Will he get the country back on track?

Wyclef Opens Up About Being Shot In Haiti

wyclef-jean-talks-about-haiti-shooting

Wow! We have to hand it to him - he's keeping a pretty cool head on his shoulders, given the circumstances!

Wyclef Jean has finally spoken out about being shot in Haiti, but would rather focus on the fact that an election was happening that day!

He explains:

"It brought light to the fact that there was an election going on that day. I don't think none of you all knew about an election in Haiti until everyone heard what happened to me. It was definitely a graze. The bullet didn't go in or anything. There's a lot to the story … The story is about the fact that we had an election and our party is in the lead. It's a young party, trying to take over the country. [Response when shot] It was more like shock and awe. They put in the anesthesia and stuff. The pain came after all that."

Wow!

Frankly, to us, it doesn't matter whether or not the bullet went in, it still must have been terrifying!

Thank goodness nothing worse happened and he's already on the road to recovery! We're so thrilled that he's got the right perspective and hasn't let this deter him from his political activism there!

Stay strong!

Holy shiz! This is so scary!

Wyclef Jean was shot in the hand yesterday while in Port-au-Prince, Haiti!

His rep did not reveal who shot the singer, or why, but explained that he was treated and released from a local hospital, and:

"He’s fine now. It happened late yesterday night and he was released after a couple hours.”

Phew! Thank goodness it wasn't anymore serious!

Take care of yourself, Wyclef! We're thinking of you!

Sean Penn And Wyclef Jean Hug It Out And Make Peace

sean penn makes peace with wyclef

For a while now, there's been some serious tension between Sean Penn and Wyclef Jean, after Penn publicly criticized Jean during his bid in the Haiti presidential race, which he was disqualified from.

Now it looks these two have made peace, after arguing it out for 30 minutes in a locked backstage dressing room at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill In NYC's Times Square. The two were at the club to see Haitian band T-Vice perform.

Here's what a source had to say about it:

"They were both in the venue, and when they saw each other at around 1 a.m., they started a confrontation. Things seemed pretty tense, and everyone around them was nervous. They then asked staff if they could go somewhere private, so they were led into a dressing room backstage where they could be alone and shut the door.

They weren't yelling and screaming, but they had it out and aired their differences for 30 minutes. When they came out they hugged each other, they went onstage and stood side-by-side."

Here's what Penn had to say to Wyclef and Haiti President-hopeful Michel Martelly, who was also in attendance at the event:

"In Haiti, we have got an opportunity as Americans whether you are from Haitian diaspora or pr - - ks like me . . . These two men beside me will lead the way if you support them . . . let's move on for some fun."

We're so glad to hear that these two made peace.

Very mature move by both of you, bbs!
