Sean Penn And Wyclef Jean Hug It Out And Make Peace

sean penn makes peace with wyclef

For a while now, there's been some serious tension between Sean Penn and Wyclef Jean, after Penn publicly criticized Jean during his bid in the Haiti presidential race, which he was disqualified from.

Now it looks these two have made peace, after arguing it out for 30 minutes in a locked backstage dressing room at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill In NYC's Times Square. The two were at the club to see Haitian band T-Vice perform.

Here's what a source had to say about it:

"They were both in the venue, and when they saw each other at around 1 a.m., they started a confrontation. Things seemed pretty tense, and everyone around them was nervous. They then asked staff if they could go somewhere private, so they were led into a dressing room backstage where they could be alone and shut the door.

They weren't yelling and screaming, but they had it out and aired their differences for 30 minutes. When they came out they hugged each other, they went onstage and stood side-by-side."

Here's what Penn had to say to Wyclef and Haiti President-hopeful Michel Martelly, who was also in attendance at the event:

"In Haiti, we have got an opportunity as Americans whether you are from Haitian diaspora or pr - - ks like me . . . These two men beside me will lead the way if you support them . . . let's move on for some fun."

We're so glad to hear that these two made peace.

Very mature move by both of you, bbs!

Wycleaf Jean's Charity Under Scrutiny AGAIN!

wyclef-jean-yele-haiti-charity-under-scrutiny

Oh, this does not look good.

Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti charity has once again come under fire due to claims that the organization's vice president, Zakiya Khatou-Chevassus, was paid $147,000 in 2009, which is a $42,000 salary increase from her job as consulate in 2008 and $15,000 more than president Hugh Locke!

WTF??

That's a lot of money being handed out that could have gone to disaster relief!

Let's hope that history isn't repeating itself, bb!

You've gotten yourself into enough trouble with these organizations!

Thoughts??

Professor Wyclef Jean?!

wyclef jean accepts professor position at brown university in african studies department

Just because he can't be President of Haiti, doesn't mean he's given up on getting preachy on people!

Sources are confirming that rapper Wyclef Jean has accepted a position as a visiting fellow at Rhode Island's Brown University. For the upcoming school year, Wyclef will be enlightening minds in the African Studies department in a position he says will give him a chance to have "a period of learning and reflection".

Though we're sure most of his students would be much more interested in knowing what Lauryn Hill is like, Wyclef's primary objective is to talk about his work with the Haiti Initiative charity organization.

Hope this fills void for you, Prof. Jean!

P.S. - Say hi to Emma Watson for us!

Wyclef Jean Hospitalized For Exhaustion!

WTF?

Wyclef Jean's rep revealed that he's been hospitalized due to "stress and fatigue based on the grueling eight weeks he's had."

Uh. Okay…

Thank goodness he got out of the race when he did! He clearly cannot handle politics!

Rest up, bb! And focus on what you're good at!

Wyclef Jean Comes To His Senses

It's over. It's done. Wyclef Jean no longer wants to be President of Haiti.

He made the official announcement this morning, conceding that his bid was rejected by the Haitian elders and he had no more fight left in him. In his statement, he explained:

"After weeks of quiet but painstaking reflection with my wife and daughter, I have chosen to end my bid for the presidency of Haiti. This was not an easy conclusion to reach; but it is one that was thoughtfully made…Though my run for the presidency was cut short, I feel it was not in vain."

Wyclef Responds To Loss Of Presidential Bid…With A Song!

wyclefwenn5497493.jpg

Last week, Wyclef Jean was DENIED a bid to run for the president of Haiti. When the news broke, Wyclef got straight to work on his retaliation (while Sean Penn checked to see if Hallmark makes an "I Told You So" card.)

This morning, he released a new song via his Twitter called Prison for the CEP, which takes a stab at the electoral commission, who decided he was unfit to be the prez.

Take a listen to his lament in the song below. It's in Creole, though, so we doubt you'll understand much of it.

Sean Penn Can't Shut Up About Wyclef!

We get it — you don't support him!

Sean Penn is still talking about Wyclef Jean and how he shouldn't run for president of Haiti.

He writes:

"So, yes, we still must ask questions. Yes I still support those Haitians who believe in him. But, I recommend that Mr. Jean and his advisers keep their future musings on more important topics than discrediting someone involved with a really good NGO.

"The real and devastating human issues in Haiti must be handled and led by a qualified president's deft hand. These elections are crucial, and I have no part in them. Neither should Mr. Jean."
