Apparently American Idol isn’t the only singing competition show that’s in for some changes.

Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell will be returning to US X Factor this fall with yet-to-be-named fellow judges. However, the show’s third season will also feature a “more relaxed energy.”

According to Demi, Simon is planning on keeping things a bit more playful. She revealed:

Demi Lovato made an appearance with X Factor sparring partner Simon Cowell at the FOX Upfronts in NYC on Monday.

The 20-year-old had an odd gypsy vibe as she walked the blue carpet in a black dress with silk scarves hanging from the gold-buckled belt, Topshop leather jacket, and Saint Laurent pumps.

The look sort of ages her, and the scarves are totes superfluous.

We KNOW she can do better — we've seen it!

X Factor might be getting seriously bootylicious!!!

Rumor has it that Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio could be joining the X Factor judging panel!

The former Destiny's Child and Latin pop goddess are reportedly in final negotiations to join Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell on the wildly popular singing competition series.

And why not? Both are extremely qualified for the positions. Hell, our girl Kelly was spectacular judging on the UK panel! So why the hell not!

We've all seen Simon Cowell's no-nonsense, harsh tongue at work on both the judges panel for American Idol and X Factor, but this is just UGLY. And because of that, we sincerely hope that this not true.

According to a new report in Star Magazine, however, he's apparently told returning judge Demi Lovato that despite her well-documented public breakdown and rehab stint for self-harming and bulimia, she STILL needs to lose 20 pounds before the reality competition begins production next fall, and is demanding that she work off the weight this summer!
