Mariano Rivera Throws His Last Pitch At Yankee Stadium And Makes An Emotional Exit! Watch HERE!!

mariano rivera plays his final game at yankee stadium

We know there's no crying in baseball, but we'll make an exception here!

Last night, the New York Yankees played their final home game of the season, which meant it was the fans' last chance to see their beloved closer Mariano Rivera before he retires!

Unfortunately, the Bronx Bombers were losing 0-4 to the Tampa Bay Rays, so there was no chance of a save opportunity. But they still decided to send Mo into the game to get the exit he deserves!

As usual, he completely shut down all four batters he faced before he was eventually pulled out of the game. However, instead of sending manager Joe Girardi to the mound, his longtime teammates Andy Pettitte and Derek Jeter made the pitching change!

Cue the waterworks, people!!

To say it was an emotional exit would be an understatement, as Mariano burst into tears as he was greeted by his teammates and got a much deserved standing ovation from the crowd!!

Not only will Mo go down as one of the best closers of all time and a 5-time Wold Series champ, but he'll always be remembered for being a class act on and off the field!

So long, Mariano! The game wont be the same without you!

Ch-ch-check out the emotional send off …AFTER THE JUMP!!!!

Bobblehead Night At Yankee Stadium Goes Horribly Wrong!

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TrueZportzBaseball

mariano rivera bobblehead night goes wrong

Any baseball fan knows the best nights to go to a game is on a bobblehead night, where you can get your hands on a free, disproportionate, plastic figurine of your favorite players!

So when the New York Yankees announced they would be giving away 18,000 bobbleheads of their iconic closer Mariano Rivera, TONS of fans showed up!

That's when things started to get ugly!

Apparently, the truck that was supposed to deliver the tiny figurines broke down, so the fans were given a voucher instead, but apparently those were in short supply!

Then, during the third inning, the truck FINALLY arrived with the bobbleheads and fans with vouchers were told to line up, but things didn't go quite as smoothly as they were hoping!

One fan describe the chaotic scene, saying:

YES!!!

Madonna surprised her NYC fans with Holiday earlier this month, but may have done one better in Chicago on Thursday night when she sang a song she has YET to perform live!

We played you a snippet of Love Spent before her album arrived and absolutely LOVED what we heard. By now, every single Madge fan has sung the song in their car at least 100 times, but during her last show, she finally sung it to them herself!

C-c-check out the emotional performance (above) during which every audience member sings along in between shouting, "Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!"

Rocawear is throwing their baseball diamonds in the sky — at Yankee Stadium!

On Wednesday Jay-Z's clothing company announced they will be sponsoring the New York Yankees for the 2012 season.

As part of the sponsorship, Rocawear will have branded signage in Yankee stadium and integrated promotions throughout the season.

Iconix Brand Group's EVP of Marketing, Jameel Spencer, says the partnership was natural:

"Jay-Z has been a long-time fan of the Yankees, regularly attends games and has even included his favorite team in song lyrics, so this was a natural partnership. Rocawear, along with Jay-Z are very excited to be working with the Yankees for the 2012 season. We feel another championship in ‘12!"

First the Yankees release not one but two fragrances and now this?

Kinda bizarre, no?
